The Texas state Senate race had a 31 point swing in a district Trump won by 17. If the whole country swung that hard this is the result of Congress. This should be democrats ambition: A unilateral impeachment and removal proof majority can be done.

I think it is OUTRAGEOUS that people are LEAPING to the conclusion that some our post prominent Americans are child rapists when it is EQUALLY PLAUSIBLE that they are simply indifferent to whether other people are child rapists so long as those other people can offer them access to power.

The primary problem with Democrats these days is they lack the moral imagination to believe that the right thing to do, can BECOME the popular thing to do if you are clear and consistent about it. Impeachment is the right thing, so make it your mission to make it popular.

Democrats have to get this message through their skulls: ICE is the central piece of a plot to steal the midterm elections and end democracy as we know it. If it still exists in November, the chances democracy falls are high.
Where we are:
1. With the action in GA, the FBI has been mobilized as part of the plan to steal the 2028 election. And the DNI being on the scene is beyond ominous.
2. After bring chaos and illegality and killings to MN, the ICE assault on that city and others will continue with minimal changes.

Trump having trouble processing that it isn’t just the MAGATs who have guns and his power is suddenly in question in ways he didn’t anticipate. Imposing your will on millions is very different from doing it to a few hundreds cowards in Congress.

In looking for gradual procedural victories, this should be the next one. But also start talking to Republicans about impeachment while you do this.

Been reflecting on how big business has been such a feckless institution in the current slide to authoritarianism. I think this is damning because it admits they were trying to game the system, and a dictator is much cheaper to game than a democratic system. They can literally just buy favors.
