Lawyer ... lynx ... LawLynx! I'm well above the age of majority in every US state (34). Eagle Scout, HAM radio, and fan of big nuclear reactors. Always trying to learn new things because the law never stands still. He/Him/His

I know it's not *biblically accurate*, but the Warthog should have hub electric motors in each wheel, not an ICE for something relased for the 2319 model year to be used on alien planets.

For the folks that weren't there for it:
"Gay" and "Fag" were some of the most common insults in the 90's and early 00's. States passed laws and constitutional amendments blocking gays from marriage. Beatings and violence were everyday occurances. You could be fired from your job.
There is progress.

Switched to the natural gas boiler today after temps got to the lower 20°s F / -6° C.

The heat pump alone did a good job considering the size of this old house. 🙂
Heat pumps are cool.

Ours has allowed us to hold off on running the natural gas boiler long enough that my electricity and natural gas company sent me a letter asking me to call them as there was something possibly wrong with the gas meter. Turns out they were just skeeved out by 0 gas this month.

Large trucks have just become minivans for people who are trying to look cool or have low self-esteem.
The bumper says 'rugged working man'.

But the cargo bed says ‘cosplay builder with soft hands’.

Time to ban these fragile-man-mobiles from our cities.

[This is from April 2024.]

Turns out Ye's Donda Academy may have been even more fucked up than it at first seemed.

Ye wanted to shave Donda Academy students' heads and lock kids in cages, ex-employee says in lawsuit
The former employee, who alleges discrimination and retaliation, says in his suit that the artist formerly known as Kanye West compared himself to Hitler — “minus the gas chambers.”

Okay, I'll wait until 19 November 2026 for GTA VI.

Here's to hoping the world isn't even more messed up at that time.

And today, the motorcycle endorsement is official on my driver's license.

Now it's:

- Life insurance policy.
- Clear garage space.
- Get riding jacket.
- Find my first motorcycle!
Huzzah!

I unlocked a new experience today: ride a motorcycle!

Noooooo ...

This guy spoke at my law school several years ago and got to meet the federal judge who sentenced him to prison as well. Disappointed to see this happen.

I think the USA is going to have a "Commodore Matthew Perry" moment in the next few years with respect to China's technological progress. I don't think most Americans will take it well.

Tail-tucks ... they're important for safe riding! So don't forget yours.

It's no fun to get your tail caught in your rear wheel.

I appreciate that UK emergency services *consistently* use the NATO phonetic alphabet.

In the USA, each person seems to make up whatever phonetics come to mind in the moment.

"Nora" "Ocean." Etc.
