Trump says the EPA can no longer regulate greenhouse gas emissions. So is it safe to breathe today? Sure. Tomorrow? Who knows.

"NYT’s Peter Baker noted that Bezos could absorb even $100 million annual losses for five straight years with just a week of his income if he so chose." - Politico

Same man that ok'ed a $90million kneel on film to the Trumps. Democracy dies in just this kind of darkness.

Penalizing Americans for his frustrated ambitions in Greenland? How does that even compute? He's well and truly mad.

— Indiana Republicans stiff-arm Trump on a push to redraw state maps.

I pledge to cheer for every team associated with Indiana for the next month. Go Pacers! Go you Colts, Huzzah for the Hoosiers! We need more states with the gumption to do the right thing.

DJT announced a rebuild of the golf courses at Andrews AFB, naming Jack Nicklaus to do redesign. This also happened today:

Nicklaus Co. files for bankruptcy after $50 million loss in court

With no company, is it 85 year old Nicklaus alone doing the work? Smells fishy, like much around Trump.

The NYT this morning attempted to explain a growing "insubordination" to Trump by congressional Republicans. One branch of government is, by charter, co-equal with the other two, not subordinate to either of them. Words matter.

Plodding through Slow Horses, unentertained and unenlightened by Lamb's constant profanity. Otherwise ok, but why the saturation of expletives in crime shows on HBO, Netflix, Apple, etc? Anything, overdone, loses impact and becomes dull. Poor writer's crutch for a character's emotion or vocabulary?

Here's the problem. They just raised their base subscription rate from $18 to $23 per month. Unwarranted. Hey, you want news? Subscribe to your local paper before it's gone.

“We’re working around the clock to ensure that justice is served and also as part of the oversight to figure out why justice has been delayed for so long,” Johnson said. (Politico 10/21/25)

He may have to call for the usual suspects, which makes me realize who he reminds me of...

Our national debt now equals our GDP. Interest paid on that debt is now nearly a trillion per year. DOGE, despite thousands of lost American jobs, failed to reduce any of this.

Who says cartilage doesn't heal? This is an ad for Miracle Ear. Out of decency, he really should cover up that pharyngeal vulva.

Finally, a clear message explaining what’s worth fighting for against Trump Republicans and their cruel, sociopathic cuts.
"So, Democrats have three words for this: no fucking way. It's literally life or death. We will not let Republicans blow up our health care system."

This is, hands down, the best comms work Chuck Schumer has done in YEARS. Surprisingly good.

Our government is officially seized up, Trump is calling for the (now unpaid) National Guard to take over large cities, we're sending $20 billion to Argentina, enabling it to ship soybeans to China, RFKjr is undermining public health, and the Dow is up 119 and the Nasdaq 25. We're all nuts here.

So much for free market dynamics. How does it feel to be an Intel, or U.S. Steel competitor, knowing the US government has its thumb planted on the scale? Madness.
