1/ ProPublica collected handwritten letters in mid-January from children held at the Dilley Immigration Processing Center, the same facility where 5-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos was taken.

Hundreds of kids are still detained.

We’ll let the children’s words speak for themselves. 🧵

If you're visiting our profile for the first time because of today's story, we'd like to bring your attention to these photos.

If you are confident you recognize these men—or have records proving their identities—please reach out. Anonymity always protected.
We still don't know the names of the ICE agents who killed Gonzàlez behind the wheel of his car outside Chicago in September.

They were unmasked in this BWC footage from Franklin Park police.

If you have any information at all about these men—please text us on Signal at unraveled.66

Ok I’ve said this before but SENATOR WHITEHOUSE WHAT THE FUCK. You cannot say you are taking opposing the fascism coming out of the White House seriously and then do this. @whitehouse.senate.gov be so for real
BREAKING: Five Senate Democrats (Durbin, Hassan, Kaine, Shaheen, and Whitehouse) just voted to advance one of Trump's lifetime judicial nominees.

The nominee wouldn’t say that Trump lost the 2020 election and dodged questions related to January 6. nominationnotes.substack.com/p/five-senat...

Had they all voted ‘no,’ the vote would have failed.

More attention here, please.
Floored by this story. A man wrote a pollite email to a federal prosecutor objecting to the deportation of an Afghan seeking asylum. DHS responded with an administrative warrant to get the man's info from Google, then visited his home to intimidate him.

Liam made people look. Now don’t look away.

We still have children in ICE custody eating bad food, drinking questionable water, living in filthy conditions, and carrying a lifetime of trauma they shouldn’t have to survive.

Do not believe the political siege of Minnesota reports of a "deescalation."
The secret masked police have been given notice they can now arrest citizens without a warrant.
This constant elevation of enforcement powers has been planned, giving ICE Agents/Terrorists better tools to trample rights.

The most frustrating part is that plenty of scholars like myself have foreseen and warned months ahead which means that this would be preventable at least at state level if elected officials acted sooner. They keep waiting to see how it goes. We know how it goes.

You can’t just say “Abolish ICE”. You also have to say “Abolish ICE and throw every person working in the agency into federal prison for crimes against humanity”.

I don’t think we should make concessions to the Masked Murderers Guild of America. I don’t think we should compromise so the Masked Murderers Guild of America stops using kidnapped kids from schools as bait. I thought this was already illegal. The Masked Murderers Guild of America should not exist.

Alex Pretti was an American hero. He saved lives. He protected people. He cared deeply about his community, unlike the murderous thugs who killed him.

The very last thing he did was try to help a woman who had been pepper-sprayed and violently shoved to the ground by ICE. 1/

The obstacles to a Democrat president are multiple & significant.

“Democrats should be thinking at least as much about dealing with Trump’s efforts to overturn the election as they are on how to win it.”

These are the obstacles;

Even as ICE receives $170B in new funding, it has stopped paying for medical care for detainees — including life-saving medications, dialysis, and chemotherapy treatments.

Remember: Over 70% of detainees have no criminal convictions.

Cruelty on steroids.
