Rolled credits on Hades this evening. Very happy to see its reputation for being a fine game is well deserved. Very enjoyable, only minor wrist strain from all the dash-striking I relied on to get through cos I suck at games.

Instead of the inevitable right wing ghoul who gets picked to head the BBC, I suggest just putting a chill little duck in charge. An actual duck who just swims about and quacks all day, occasionally gobbling bits of bread. I think the quality of the beeb would improve immeasurably.

The company that's pushing this technology should not only be regulated, it should be shut down, & everyone who worked to develop & promote this program should be held accountable in a court of law. Sam Altman belongs under the jail.

Even putting aside all moral and ethical issues over GenAI, it's still just a bad tool.
There is no control over it. Just prompts and hope. On a professional level you need to be able to control as much as possible for professional results. With AI you can only fix it's serious problems.

Deep Space 9 has a kind of uneven rocky first season. Some real clunkers and boring episodes as it tries to work out what kind of a show it wants to be. Then Duet comes along, and by god they nail it with that episode. Still a very powerful and impressive episode.
