1/ #Gambling taxes are certain to rise in the #budget. This is a horrible idea as it increases the incentives for NOT increasing regulation of the industry. We need a not for profit industry where profits are kept in the communities they are prevalent in. I will outline how this would work.

“Your Party” are a complete joke and wanting to leave #NATO is a complete shambles. If you support #Corbyn or #Sultana can you explain to me how leaving #NATO is a good idea and how this would go down with the #EU which I hope we rejoin in my lifetime. Please explain this to me in a polite way.

#Palantir are world leaders but the UK consortium (Voror Health, Black Pear, and Eclipse) or Quantexa are both very good options to move to ASAP. They should all be trialed in different areas and then scrap Palantir as they are run by the devil. Someone worse than #Trump or even #Musk. Buy British.
We've created a simple tool so you can find out whether your local NHS trust is using Palantir's software and asking them to resist Wes Streeting's push to sign up for it. goodlaw.social/zr8w

This story is starting to make me feel I’m going slightly mad - maybe RR overdid the gloom, but the tax rises are paying for a) the welfare U-turns b) the £10bn-plus increase in headroom c) scrapping the two child limit d) bits of other spending eg higher local gov costs 🤷🏻‍♀️

All the coverage of Reeves ‘lying’ debagged in a single sentence.
I’m quite enjoying the 180 turn on a six pence from “you’ve wrecked the economy and created a black hole” to “there was no black hole and this is even worse”.

This is just a good policy and money to the poorest gets spent straight away boosting the economy. We have no fiscal room for any more fiscal stimulus. We just need to get inflation down now and rely on interest rate cuts.
Headline on The World at One just now:

"Sir Keir Starmer has denied putting the Labour Party before the country by ending the two-child benefit cap".

Can we please go back to reporting the actual news, not someone's partisan take on it?

Nigel Farage has spent £1m taking out adverts in the papers to distract from the Nathan Gill Russian bribe scandal.

We can't let him buy himself out of this. We need an investigation into Russian influence in our politics.

Don’t be surprised if the shooting of the National Guardsmen is a false flag operation. I’m not saying it is, but it could be. We need to watch closely as #midterms are looking like a bloodbath for #Trump. There are echoes of #Putin who famously uses false flags everywhere.

The ‘coalition of the willing’ made a strategic mistake not coming up with a peace plan before the #Russia one.

I know Rubio is a Russia hawk at heart and they could have made the first move. This is being fixed a little but it’s put #Ukraine on the back foot.

1/ #Labour should update their guidelines for health and look into longevity and healthspan (how long we are healthy for). So things like increasing vitamin D levels, multivitamins and omega 3 have always been either a fad or amazing but the data has finally shown that they are in fact good for us.

…what were the motivations behind this?

🔥 Rachel Reeves says there’s a “hole” in the public finances.

A new decade-long Brexit study quantifies it:

A 6–8% hit to GDP

That's £180bn-£240bn a year

It means less tax revenue and so less money for everything.

Brexit made Britain MUCH poorer.

They need to be bolder on #Brexit if they want to beat reform. 60% are now remainers. If Trump’s tariffs are struck down in court, we should join the customs union. It would be an ideal way of proving the damage by reversing some before the election. It would also help #Labour against the Greens.

I guess it’s a compliment that the top story on BBC London’s TV/online output today is a direct lift of a month-old London Centric story? But once again the BBC is consistently the worst news outlet for actually remembering to credit others.

The current offer is not fair to the UK who bring so much to the table on defence. Norway is not in the EU so it’s unfair. #NAFO
