FIFA either being really progressive or really dumb. It would be funny if they were like, if you do not like it we can replace you.
FIFA decided to have a ceremonial match commemorating Pride Month during the World Cup and it ended up being scheduled for Egypt and Iran. Both countries have complained, with Egypt saying it “categorically reject[s] any activities related to supporting homosexuality during the match.”

I went to make a Glamour Shots joke today and conciously only sent it to people over 50, and to my surprise when I looked it up online Freehold Mall still has a Glamour Shots. Freehold NJ and El Paso TX still have them. I am trying the joke with the daughters to see if they get the reference.

The new thing I do not like about social media is videos about people buying furniture at Goodwill, using thousands of dollars of power tools in the 2 car garage, and reselling them for a profit. Just let people who need to buy inexpensive furniture go to Goodwill and get a dresser.

This is not far off, I am still watching but I always need some reason about a characters motivation to really enjoy a show and so far the hive mind is boring.
then again, as I posted that, realized that the entire premise of Pluribus could be read as "let's fuck with human beings, you know, for the lulz"

apparently we’re doing Christmas song posts so here’s my entry for “best chorus with preposterously catchy harmonies on a toss-off half-joke song about a 1980s video game console”

FYI, if you here a metal clunk when you hit the brakes of your car a few times check under the seat to see if your daughter left her Yeti in the backseat and it is rolling into the bar of the drivers seat.

Woman at my table at this conference lunch talking about her daughter singing in a band and all the members are in recovery and they had the hardest time finding a drummer because none of them qualified. Seems right.

Inference of lawfulness. An order requiring the performance of a military duty or act may be inferred to be lawful, and it is disobeyed at the peril of the subordinate. This inference does not apply to a patently illegal order, such as one that directs the commission of a crime.

Certainly I did wish some Catholic Priests were arrested in this manner but I will side with the Church on this one being improper.
at one point, i watched a cook county sheriff’s officer (who appears to be in charge) point out a priest in the crowd.

he and a couple officers then went into the crowd , dragged him into the street, and arrested him.

situation is still tense as crowd jostles with police to get into the street.

I have been to Charlotte, it is basically a North Jersey suburb.
"Scared of Charlotte" is a whole new level of "scared of cities" that I'd never even considered possible
Rep. Pat Harrigan: "I have asked Josh Stein, our governor, to consider working with President Trump to allow the National Guard to come into Charlotte ... use the National Guard as a force multiplier and they can a lot of load off the Charlotte PD."
