If you want to understand why LA residents feel under attack, undercover DHS agents lying about their identity and authorizations to try to kidnap LA children seems a good start.

People just do not understand the attacks LA is under by Trumpists right now.

If more people recognized that they are in fact disabled, our conversations around disability would be entirely different. We talk a lot about how disability can happen to anyone at any time, but we don't talk enough about how stigma means many people don't acknowledge their existing disability.
People with glasses and contacts have to realize that we have a disability that just happens to be highly accommodated for in modern society and that accommodation is the only reason why poor eyesight is not considered a disability.

Look around you, who is being forced to mask?
The concept of inclusion has evolved significantly in education, moving beyond mere physical presence in classrooms to encompass a deeper understanding of belonging and recognition of identity.

No, she didn’t “sign up for that” when she became a nurse.

No, it’s not “just part of the job” of an Educational Assistant or Educator.

Women in the caring professions deserve to be safe at work.

All workers deserve to be safe at work.

A good school based team is important for expertise that can offer resources and strategies. I understand that out of desperation sometimes we believe an EA will help a student but in reality this solution may not help the student in the long run. People are not supports!

If anyone just pauses to think about this, it’s pretty clear how important these PUBLIC services (still are where I live) are and how we need to fight to protect them.

As an educator, while I have always embraced technology, I have been feeling uneasy about AI.

“While AI isn’t going anywhere, it’s important that the industry is held accountable for both environmental and public health impacts.”
As an educator, it’s increasingly difficult to name a professional conviction or pedagogical commitment that justifies the use of generative AI. The daily use of AI must not overshadow tangible actions to redress our climate crisis lest we further erode our position as trusted stewards of learning.
Once again asking what problem this technology has solved or is expected to solve to force us to endure this. www.fastcompany.com/91253026/air...
