there is absolutely not a whole world out there capable of tending to the world's problems. the primary reason that tens of millions of people are going to die is that we aren't feeding them and providing public health services. no one took that over. no one even tried.
It is fully irresponsible to argue for an American return to global leadership. This country is deeply unwell and has no business leading anything until that's no longer the case. There's a whole world out there capable of tending to the world's problems. We must tend to ours.

I understand the frustration that people feel when you directly compare like this, but you have to remember that hating republicans needs to be because of more than the fact that they’re the other team. I don’t want to support a party that denies reality, but very leftistly.
When Biden actually won a majority of the popular vote, no substantial portion of the Republican party was conciliatory, no one said 'ah well Biden won so Americans must agree with him on trans rights, or BLM, or....'. The response was absolute denial and intransigence - and IT WORKED
