I have eschewed the Real ID because it's redundant. I have a passport, that should suffice. Took my passport with me on a recent trip to Hawai'i.
With the chaos of an underfunded and understaffed DMV...$45 doesn't seem so bad.
But TSA will still likely ban me after they review my social media.

Multiple sources have confirmed that ICE/Border Patrol is headed back to the Raleigh and Durham areas for undefined deportation actions. We've heard 50 ICE agents, charter flights and hotels booked for all of them in the Raleigh area.

Yesterday, Pennsylvania Governor @joshshapiropa.bsky.social signed their state's budget into law.
That leaves North Carolina as the only state in the entire nation without an operating budget.
Our Republican legislature, unable to decide amongst themselves, just quit and went home.
