This is why it crucial to call your reps. Give them permission to do this. Tell them this position is not out of the main stream, it IS the main stream.

Seriously, WHEREVER you are in the world, I recommend watching all of Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney’s powerful & already famous speech at Davos.

Can’t underestimate its leadership importance.

Key line: “Middle powers must work together, because if we’re not at the table, we’re on the menu.”

Perhaps one good thing the idiot is doing is forcing the world to stop pretending that "American Exceptionalism" is based on reality. The only time we've every accomplished anything great, we've done it together with help from people of all types and from all places.

He's worse than me when friends ask if I've seen the latest season of the show they liked.
Mike Johnson tells me that he hasn’t seen Trump saying in Davos “what we have gotten out of NATO is nothing”

Let’s be clear — if Trump doesn’t end up invading Greenland, or doesn’t end up doing any other of his seemingly unlimited batshit insane, illegal and corrupt crimes, it WON’T be “evidence that we were overreacting.” It will ONLY be BECAUSE WE DIDN’T UNDER-REACT.

We all want to get violent criminals off our streets, and the State of Minnesota has never wavered in doing so.

The federal government’s propaganda machine is taking credit for work that happened long before thousands of untrained agents showed up to put on a show for Trump.

America’s global reputation will never ever recover from this calamity. Even after Trump is gone the world now knows that we are capable of electing a sadistic lunatic like this not just once but twice, so could easily do it again. Why take the risk of engaging with us?
Trump doesn’t know the difference between Greenland and Iceland. And yet he is the most powerful man in the world because part of America wanted that and another part of America didn’t give enough of a damn to get to the polls to stop it.

Confused Trump, 79, Threatens to Grab the Wrong Country
The embarrassing blunder came in a meandering speech in which Trump also appeared to rule out military force to seize Greenland.

Right now billionaires are heading to Davos conference with Trump to talk about solutions to problems THEY created.

8 men own 50% of all wealth, yet they point the finger at immigrants and trans people.

Billionaires: YOU’RE the problem. Just SHUT UP AND PAY YOUR TAX

it seems too obvious to even keep pointing it out but if you have ever had experience with an elder relative sliding into dementia you are familiar with the ways they repeat the same nonsensical anecdotes
Trump: "They didn't allow the water to come down from the Pacific Northwest. They routed the water into the Pacific Ocean. So we had no water there. No, he had -- I would say open up the water. Open it up to the governor, the mayor. They wouldn't do it. They wanted to protect a tiny little fish."

I said when Ras Baraka was arrested that it was a break glass moment of the Democratic party. It should have triggered a 100% McConnell version blockade. No votes for anything. End of story.

Instead they are still approving Trump's nominees, lol.

Imagine the news cycle if any president slurred his words and rambled off lie after lie after lie, the way this one does.

The slurring alone, right? Add in all the obvious signs of declining health, the absolutely unhinged, manic, sundowning posts in the middle of the night?

But it's like 🤷‍♂️

We have an entire class of Democratic "leadership" that has been told that it's dangerous and extreme to say this, and that does not understand that what Democrats want is for their leaders to articulate what they believe and why they believe it. That should not be as big an ask as it apparently is.
Mamdani: "I am in support of abolishing ICE. What we see is an entity that has no interest in fulfilling its stated reason to exist. We're seeing a government agency that is supposed to be enforcing some kind of immigration law, but instead what it's doing is terrorizing people."

We are in the midst of a rupture, not a transition... recently, great powers have begun using economic integration as a weapon. Tariffs as leverage ... "

We need more police to speak up like this. It’s not perfect, but it helps.
Brooklyn Park police chief Mark Bruley: "We're hearing people being stopped with no cause & being demanded to show paperwork to determine if they're here legally. We started hearing from our police officers the same complaints. Every one of these individuals is a person of color... it has to stop"

Venezuela's oil. Money a decent gov would use to improve the lot of Venezuelans in the way Norway's sovereign wealth fund does...
And instead it goes to an account in Qatar controlled by Trump.

I know we make this joke all the time, but this would not get past your 1st story meeting at a studio.
VARNEY: Are we now actively selling the oil we're taking from Venezuelan tankers?

ENERGY SECRETARY CHRIS WRIGHT: Oh, absolutely

VARNEY: How much of that oil are we going to take?

WRIGHT: We'll take the majority of Venezuelan exports
