It’s time we started taking Trump’s threats seriously.

I've been trying to frame it as the US government is hostile, and perhaps not even all of it. But I agree we should stop kidding ourselves, even with a change in President it'd be foolish to think things will go back to how they were.
The USA is a hostile power. They've not pretended otherwise. It's time to stop kidding ourselves and start treating them as they are, which means extracting ourselves from US tentacles, leaving them to wallow in isolation while we work around them with our allies and partners.
So he’s suing BBC and now this. Remind me again why we rolled out the red carpet for him TWICE!? Did we really think it would make a difference? The only difference it’s made is show the whole world that, since Brexit, we are all alone, weak and desperate.
