Amused that Trump's lawyers really sent the legal letter to:
BBC Television Centre,
London W12 8QT.
I wonder if they included a self addressed envelope for a reply and called 018118055 to confirm receipt.

The thing to understand about this is that this catastrophe in the UK has redounded to the political benefit of the very same people and political movement that pushed for it! Extremely perverse.
I wonder if the United States can learn anything from the last time a major industrialized country decided to isolate itself from the rest of the world?
Almost a decade after the Brexit vote, GDP in the UK is around 6-8% lower relative to peer countries. (Source: www.nber.org/papers/w34459)

Lots of useful info about preorders here! #booksky
A well-know author like Stephen King can drive huge pre-order numbers and his print runs will be huge as he is well understood to be a top seller so his titles enter the market pre-labeled 'best sellers' signaling that the industry knows in advance he will sell well.

I STILL have an extraordinary amount of reading to do and this is the month I meet my goals!
So... I'm going to try the same challenge as the last three months: one book, novella, story, critical article or other form of written text a day.
Month's aim: 10 novels, 3 non-fiction, 15 articles

There’s a young southern woman on tt doing an experiment: calling churches & asking if they can help her get baby formula, saying she can’t afford it. Of the 30+ she’s called, nearly every church has said no. The ones who said yes were:

I’m really enjoying Pluribus so far but it’s worrying how strongly I identify with its constantly furious anti-heroine Carol (apart from her being a best selling author of course). Interested to see how it develops

Last night, Peers voted against Swift bricks: rejecting a simple, proven way to help one of our fastest declining birds recover. ❌
We share @hannahbournetaylor.bsky.social's disappointment & frustration.
The vote came late, but with government refusing to back it, its fate was already sealed.
