A million times this. It only takes one shithead to ruin it for everyone else. If you are in charge of any event, you need to ban swiftly and get law enforcement involved if they don't leave quickly or quietly.
In short, every shithead you don't ban costs you ten other customers.
"A [potentially regular] customer doesn't say anything but never comes back" doesn't register with you as An Event the way that kicking someone out (temporarily or permanently) does, so it's extremely easy to miss it.

Magfest is coming and either you or someone you know desperately needs better versions of toiletries and you absolutely all need better socks. I've seen the socks boys wear to conventions and you need new socks. Antibacterial soap is your only guarantee that deodorant can do its job

I tend to be an overly patient person (sometimes to my detriment) and it takes a hell of a lot for me to lose my temper (and if I do, someone royally fucked up and my wrath is something you really do not want to experience) but goddamn - it's taken me nearly 45 minutes to deal with the bullshit.

I feel this. I'm okay at these games but out of practice and nowhere near a competitive level. I get where dealing with a specific "game community" can be fraught with peril. Some of these communities are unfriendly at best and unbelievably toxic at the bare minimum that could be considered worse.
i like fighting games but the capital letters Fighting Game Community usually looks pretty miserable tbh. i wonder if it's something about the competitive structure or if all fan spaces kinda end up as retirement home stitch n bitches when observed from the edge on a deep enough adult level

I got a Barnes and Noble gift card for Christmas, so naturally I went straight to the DVDs/Blu-Ray section. I did comb through the Criterion selection, but in the end picked up some animation I did not have on physical media. The Stuff from Arrow Video and Aftersun from A24.

Oh, this hit. In fact it hit so hard that I actually own the Wipeout art book (chock full of the logo design) and a 500 page book detailing the work of The Designers Republic (the firm that worked on the graphic design of Wipeout).
