If you don’t know your neighbors, now is a great time to go meet them.
This is going to be so crucial as other cites are targeted—not least because people need to understand that there are *so many ways to help,* and if you don’t feel equipped to do one thing you can find something else that fits your abilities better. Not everyone has to be in the streets
I keep seeing posts going "when ICE comes to MY city, we'll be out in the streets even harder" and man, I get that sentiment but I need everyone to understand that the work in Minneapolis is partly confrontational but MORE IMPORTANTLY aaallll the stuff organized in the background to help neighbors

This is a very powerful video from comedian Josh Johnson. Not just because what he says that's meaningful. But because it shows an emerging trend that high profile people have finally started speaking up, despite concerns it might alienate their followers.

It is time to choose sides.

Just priced a ticket on Delta, then logged in on the app to book it and got a price $150 higher. Searched in a different browser, got a third price. AI pricing is in full effect, and customer service completely denies it.

Starting Invisalign during the holidays is simultaneously the best and worst idea I’ve ever had. Did you know it’s possible to make cookies without tasting the batter? 🌟

So proud to work for the Wilderness Land Trust so I can be part of projects like this! 650 wild acres that would've been turned into luxury homes for the 0.1%, now protected. #publicland #wilderness www.aspentimes.com/news/pitkin-...

Looking for a winter hike? CA’s short and sweet Lost Coast Trail has mountain lions, black bears, elephant seals, and views galore. Just be sure to check out the tide table before you go—multiple spots passable only when it’s low. #backpacking #lostcoasttrail #womenwhohike

I have been doing morning pages so faithfully lately that I have run out of notebooks and am relegated to actually writing in a hardbound journal that says “JOURNAL” on the front and has a ribbon bookmark. Had to mess up the first page to deconsecrate the damn thing from its work conference origins.

Knitted myself a yoga mat strap. Noticed a nail in the corner where I keep the mat, thought why not be tidy and hang up the strap? Accidental, uh, Georgia O’Keeffe.

Reading Richard Osman’s latest, and just came to the startling realization that when a character in a book gets a text message and hasn’t looked at it yet, I get the same anxious-excited-pending feeling I would get from an unread text IRL. It’s Pavlovian rather than related to what the text may be.

Zohran Mamdani caught lying that he understood Plato’s allegory of the cave, yet when asked to explain it, he seemed to instead explain Baudrillard’s theory of Simulacra and Simulation where reality has been replaced by symbols and signs, which seems similar to Plato’s theory but is not the same

@crockett.house.gov It's because the BUNKER is below the East Wing. He's enlarging and modernizing/weaponizing it for the regime to hide from us because they never plan to leave. That's why the ballroom is elevated. We MUST remove them before construction is completed.

I like to think about what it will be like when we Gen X are old. Our caregivers will have modern names like Gertrude and Ethel. They’ll make fun of our old-timey tattoos and try to up our meds when we sing classics like Chocolate Rain, Hamster Dance, and Come on Fhqwhgads.

The free market lies to you because you ask it to. When we were told not to wear antiperspirant to mammograms because it can mess up the image, idiots heard “aluminum causes breast cancer.” Instead of setting them straight, every brand, afraid to lose, made an “aluminum free” version… w/ alum salt.
