I'm a voting rights lawyer and a proud Democrat. No one can buy my opinions. They aren't for sale. I built Democracy Docket from scratch because legacy media is failing us. For $10 a month you can support its work. hubs.ly/Q03CbHTt0

I haven't dived into the Epstein emails myself, so all I see are the salacious ones that expose his whole network. Are there a lot of ordinary emails? Ones that explain his business or finances? One of the big questions is how his expensive lifestyle and activities were financed

HOLY COW. Basically, as folks note in the comments. Halligan allowed the court reporter to believe they were done for the day but then called the Grand Jury back. There is no judge, etc at these. So very likely she reconvened with no court reporter.

I can't see how charges stand if that's true.
Today, the judge deciding the legality of Lindsey Halligan's appointment said the court reporter stopped transcribing grand jury proceedings in the Comey case at 4:28 PM. That's over TWO HOURS that's missing.

At the same time the NY Times was hyping Hillary Clinton's emails, it had a reporter with emails from Jeffrey Epstein that were highly damaging to Trump.

The more NYT apologists try to minimize this the clearer it becomes that they don't understand why much of the public doesn't trust legacy media.

Wow. Prosecutor in Chicago routinely collected defendants' passports, but will now relent in all cases after a passionate objection
I’m going to think about watching this moment unfold in real time for a long time.

for all the horrors coming out of Chicago and its metro area, the principled courage of everyday people, in the face of such intimidation, never ceases to astonish. www.chicagotribune.com/2025/11/12/k...

Donald Trump was convicted for fraud in NY over concealment of payments to suppress a salacious news story shortly before the election. So many talking heads denigrate the case, but it may be just a small window into an important and consequential operation with media complicity at highest levels

Today is a good day to remember, and to say, that the #MeToo movement was right, and was righteous, and has been vindicated over and over again. There was no overreach. There was no excess. There was no they-went-too-far.

So much work remains to be done.

Really difficult to overstate the fury one should feel that the GOP and institutions like the New York Times went all in on transphobia as some mortal threat to women and girls while covering up something like this.
When you read these Epstein emails, you start to understand why so many prominent conservatives are obsessed with checking the genitals of children. It's a big thing for them!

So much coming out now. Here is Noam Chomsky
I always wondered by Noam Chomsky has been shilling for Russia, toting their "NATO expansion" line. Now we know all about Noam. Wow.

Ironic how this ended
Our deep dive into the recesses of Epstein's inbox found repeated instances of him seeking to exploit his Trump relationship. "I am the one able to take him down," Epstein wrote in December 2018. 🎁🔗 @jsgatnyt.bsky.social @nickconfessore.bsky.social www.nytimes.com/2025/11/12/u...

Maggie Haberman whined on Twitter years ago that Elias lied to her "with sanctimony," when all we know is he refused to be a source for her with something like a curt, generic statement her info was wrong. Through this whole period NYT refused to characterize Trump as lying
Not only was the Times obsessed with Hillary Clinton's emails while ignoring emails about Donald Trump sent to its own reporter, but since then it has constantly attacked anyone who dared look into questions of Trump's character. All with sanctimony.

Now we know it was all a big lie.

Yes, we know of so much that gives Russia leverage. But there is something deeper still hidden. Just like we already know of so many ties to Epstein. But Trump's actions tell us something atrocious is still hidden

I am very anti-conspiracy theory, but there are a lot of fair questions about Epstein. His large fortune, his high rate of spending, how he spent his time, public explanations aren't adequate. There are also legit questions about intelligence service connections. And Trump is mixed up in all of it
What is known about his funding doesn't add up. There aren't typical, legit ways to amass the fortune he did and be so carefree. Someone with subpoena power should be able to uncover a lot of details, but that has never come out

Yeah, there is some real scandal to the whole Epstein story, beyond what we know. The finances don't add up, and there are too many signs of connection to intelligence services to ignore. Trump is definitely mixed up in it

Intelligence: Ghislaine's father infamously worked for a foreign intelligence service. There's a report Acosta justified the extraordinarily lenient treatment of the Florida case with a reference to intelligence. Given the breadth and personalities, agencies must know something. What's the truth?
