Starbucks workers are striking. It's a great opportunity to try your local coffee shop instead. You might not get a bear shaped cup BUT you will be putting money directly back in your community instead of in a billionaire's wallet.

If I could I absolutely would. I'm a smidge outside of that age range though.
"In 2025, 40% of women aged 15 to 44 say they would move abroad permanently if they had the opportunity. The current figure is four times higher than the 10% who shared this desire in 2014, when it was generally in line with other age and gender groups."
Record Numbers of Younger Women Want to Leave the U.S.
The percentage of younger women in the U.S. who express a desire to migrate permanently has surged in the past decade.

Marissa Meyer was a perfect author to end our traditional author event season. My next big event is me as the Grinch meeting 300 folks at the store. Wooo!

I lost my job, my kids have measles, and it is now clear to me that the President of the United States is a pedophile. But at least I know that the Cracker Barrel logo won't be changed any time soon.

The hemp ban did pass with the CR funding bill yesterday. In case anyone else wondered.

A big preorder campaign for local Sci-fi fantasy author Christopher Ruocchio slowed down my holiday decorating. Finishing the big window today no matter what though.

Bernie Sanders: "What this Senate is about to do is make a horrific situation even worse. So let's be clear what this vote is about. If this vote succeeds, over 20 million Americans are gonna see at least a doubling in their premiums in the ACA."

I don't think it's cowardice. I think that they are OK with what the GOP is doing. The sooner folks reconcile with this, the better.

Here I thought the Dems caving meant we got the ACA in exchange for the abortion ban and hemp ban I had been hearing about but instead the Dems are just getting a promise of a vote down the line? They really are the biggest losers aren't they?

Do I send my kid to school on the day of a mass callout for teachers on Monday? I support the move entirely. Wondering if it would be easier to keep kids home.

Y'all. My mom is gonna be so mad at me when she sees what I did to my hair.

Yes, I'm a 46 year old woman with a nearly full arm sleeve, multiple piercings, etc, so why do I care?

Sometimes you look in the mirror and you just hear your parent's voice and you just know. 😆

A guy driving the wrong way up Leadmine Road directly at me decided he should curse me out because I was driving the correct direction on the road. He really didn't like that I honked my horn at him for being on the wrong side of the road.

When John Grisham stops by as a surprise to say hi, you stay a little later than intended and make sure he signs his books and see how he's doing.

We've got newly signed copies of The Widow if anyone is interested!

I cancelled a monthly sub & created a sustaining donation in the same amount for the NC food bank equivalent to 175 meals a month. Now my dollars are not going into the economy bc I'm helping an org when the govt refuses to. Think about the wider economic implications of the lack of SNAP.
