ANU academics have produced papers that show migration. Is always highest under the LNP

They tell you to hate migrants with one side of their face while importing cheap labour for their corporate donors out the other.
“Standing in front of six Australian flags, Taylor used new rhetoric to talk about the problems with Australia’s migration program. He argued that not only were migration numbers too high, but that too many people who “hated” Australia were arriving…”

Straight out of Grok casting.
‘Change or die’: Taylor puts forward new vision as Ley lobs byelection bomb on way out
Angus Taylor won the Liberal leadership in a party room vote on Friday morning, while former leader Sussan Ley a short time later gave notice she would resign from parliament.

Thanks for turning out in big numbers #Naarm to acknowledge that the 26th was the date of the colonial invasion of the country we call Australia. The national use of the date is recent. We don’t have to party of the day that signalled the start of genocide. #SurvivalDay #Auspol #Melbourne

While Gina/Advance/IPA/Murdochs/Faragists/preferential Pauline take over the Liberal Party, a big window has opened for more meritorious independents (think ‘teals’) to run in marginal LNP (and some ALP) seats across federal electorates. Libs may have signed their own death warrant. 👇

Lemme spell it out. Trump's only leverage over Jimmy Kimmel and ABC came from FCC regulation. His direct power over H1-B visas gives him similar leverage over tech, higher ed, and others.
Critical part of the President's new $100,000 charge for H1-B visas: The Administration can also offer a $100,000 discount to any person, company, or industry that it wants. Replacing rules with arbitrary discretion.

Want visas? You know who to call and who to flatter.

Exclusive: Government warned over ‘legal basis’ of welfare system
Despite being warned in 2018 that jobseekers were being exposed to unfair and excessive decisions, the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations ‘chose to continue with the status quo’.
