I tried to run yesterday but there was so much ice that i ended up averaging like 12:30/mile, being in the road more than I'd like, having to climb over/go around shit etc and its like 9 today, so I don't anticipate it improving right away.

Iced out of both school and running for a week, during which I've managed to ignore portfolio shit but, I got 3 instrumental demos done which has allowed me to start rehearing vocals again. It's giving me a headache as I get back in shape, but it's like calluses with guitar; ya gotta suffer some.

Playing "Metroid Prime 4" and "Doom Eternal" next to each other really lays bare how boring the combat is in the former. Like, the lack of both variety and tactics is depressing. Last boss fight has some interesting bits, but Doom has almost as many types of fodder as Metroid has enemies period.

One of my favorite skramzy bands ever; ideal jazz + hardcore mixture. Tricky and cool and mathy but bare knuckled and vocally shredded. Also, as a punk musician the generation behind these guys, it's inspiring to see them still play these songs with this much commitment and joy.

Interesting because bandcamp is in a similar position to the Dems in that everything else is either worse or not meaningfully accessible, but they’re still slugs in their own right, so it’s telling where they draw the line on The Horrors because it reveals where they think their consumer value lies.
Another way to tell if your favorite artist is using AI: they suddenly stop releasing on Bandcamp while all their older tracks are still there. Why? Bandcamp has started removing AI content. So if a track shows up on Spotify but not on Bandcamp, odds are it’s AI generated.

I haven’t gotten into a med show before but I’m 4 eps into “The Pitt” and I’m enjoying it tremendously; I took IG off my shit recently cause there was too much ai slop and this is refreshingly the opposite, something that makes me pay attention to humans acting in human and complicated ways.
