this is a very cool thing to do and also highlights one of the biggest keys to Zohran's appeal: he just thinks New York City is really neat

people who live somewhere want to vote for someone who likes it there and wants to make it better, not someone who wants to use it as a springboard
It’s your city, from the sidewalk to the skyline. The David Dinkins Municipal Building’s rooftop is open & free to everyone, starting this June.

JUST IN: Democrats flip a red seat in the Texas Senate.

Taylor Rehmet wins against Leigh Wambsganss, a conservative activist who helped lead right-wing efforts to take over TX school boards.

With all early vote, and 95% of precincts, in, Dem up 57/43.

Trump won this seat by 17% in Tarrant County.

The Epstein emails should really end the debate over whether society should have billionaires. "Do you want there to be a class of people so powerful they can fuck your kids and no one will even try to do anything" seems like an easy sell if everyone in politics wasn't trying to get on their payroll

interesting to watch ppls reaction to the epstein files. I believe the prominent guys named in them are guilty AF. whether they are guilty of each specific detail is irrelevant. yall they are dudes with way too much $. THATS IT. also who knows if we'll ever know the full list

Judge Boasberg: “the Court ultimately determines that the Government’s actions on that day demonstrate a willful disregard for its Order, sufficient for the Court to conclude that probable cause exists to find the Government in criminal contempt.”

This is just so cool
My partner got weirded out by how much my new calathea plant wiggles during the day, so of course I had to capture an 11 hour timelapse of it wiggling.

This entire rundown is depressing. Cause it continues to prove what so many of us already know but what some ppl still don't grasp. There is no due process in America anymore & trying to undo intense harm if you caught up in this shit is going to be very slow, cause the govt can ignore courts now
HAPPENING NOW: At the federal courthouse in Greenbelt, Maryland, Judge Paula Xinis is set to begin a hearing on the government’s efforts – or lack thereof – to “facilitate” the return of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a Maryland resident who was wrongly removed to El Salvador.

Follow along for updates ⬇️

I mean yeah, exactly
Constituents to Chuck Grassley: "Are you bringing back that guy from El Salvador?"

Senior Citizen: “If I get an order to pay a ticket to pay $1200 and I just say ‘no’, does that stand up? Because he just got an order from the Supreme Court and he just said ‘screw it’”

“I’M PISSED!”

Oh wow although at this point it'll prob just confirm things we already knew to be basically true lol
4Chan was hacked, its source code was leaked, admin emails were leaked, AND a lot of registered users used their real names and .edu email addresses. Lotta CHUDs getting exposed to sunlight today.

I'm so ashamed of my alma mater University of Michigan particularly after seeing Harvard stand up for things and I hate giving Harvard credit for anything !

Michigan had close to a $20 BILLION endowment in 2024 and they caved on dei before a letter came. What cowards

Criminals deserve due process because due process is literally how we determine whether someone is, *in fact*, a criminal

I think the degeneracy and cowardice of american elites is more to blame though. Trump properly perceived large swaths of the elites on both sides of the aisle believed in nothing and would fold at the first sign of pressure.

On a day when the administration’s conduct hit stunning new lows, it’s really important to see institutions like Harvard (represented by major law firms) stepping up to fight back
BREAKING: On Friday, the federal government issued new demands of Harvard University. The university's lawyers just responded: back off.

I really don't think Target thought this would go on for this long for them. They really made the wrong business decision & are paying for it
The divergence here from two companies with *very* similar customer bases is pretty wild, you do not see this sort of thing happen at scale very often.
Target suffers 10th consecutive week of foot traffic declines, sinking stock prices since caving on DEI
Costco, which resisted pressure to ditch DEI, extends foot-traffic gains streak to 15.

Call me skeptical, but I don't think putting a pause on retaliatory tariffs on Saint Pierre and Miquelon, The Falkland Islands, Fiji, Norfolk Island, and Chad is going to counteract the over 100% retaliatory tariffs on our biggest trading partner, China. Seems the markets are being a bit silly.

I'll believe it when it happens. The "plans"part means nothing to me. I need to see Dems DO.
Breaking: Sen. Richard Blumenthal says he plans to place a hold on ALL Trump nominees going forward.

This will force Republicans to hold individual votes to override each hold, which will severely slow down their agenda.

The idea that prison conditions needed to be harsh to punish crime was always a sick fantasy that eroded our collective rights. Now that due process is *officially* being abandoned, it’s another demonstration that all those supposedly far-left radical ideas were common sense and necessary.
