Religion is not more or less moral. Theocracies can be extremely abusive forms of governance because they believe themselves to be moral, righteous, and superior.

GOOD NEWS! Researchers have developed a cancer vaccine that has shown STUNNING results, PREVENTING up to 88% of MULTIPLE aggressive cancers by harnessing dual-pathway nanoparticles that train the immune system to recognize and destroy tumor cells. In some cases, it COMPLETELY prevented metastasis.

It's cool how we keep proving over and over and over again that there's a significant market for narrative-heavy, character-driven, single-player experiences in video games and publishers just categorically refuse to believe us

Look, renewables have already won #auspol. There's no pushing that Jack back in its box. Especially with East Asia's heavy investment. India and China alone make up 36% of the world. Fossil Fuels are just trying to slow down their decline as much as possible and for as long as possible.

This is the most wildly abundant month for queer SF/F/H book releases since I started tracking them. SEVENTY-SIX new books on my October list, and I’m sure I missed some (I always do!) 🌈📚

It's a global issue #AusPol
This is how our government has been corrupted:
1) Donors give huge sums to elect politicians to office
2) Elected officials rewrite rules in the donors' favor
3) Donors make huge profit
4) Repeat
We must get big money out of politics.
It is the root of our dysfunction.

Fifty years after the dismissal of #Whitlam, it is a national disgrace that the full story is still yet to be told, as more than a thousand files relating to the dismissal remain closed by the National Archives of Australia. @palaceletters #auspol
Whitlam dismissal secrets unearthed from the archives of the Canadian governor-general
This newly uncovered material, exclusively published by Crikey, is the first indication from Sir John Kerr himself that Queen Elizabeth II approved of the position he had taken during his dismissal of Gough Whitlam.

"They're not supposed to do that to ME" is not a position worthy of respect.
