Dogs. Cheese. Beer.
Someone told me that they were grateful to own their home and property. Happy for them, but I had to deliver the unfortunate reminder that they really don't. Even if paid in full, eminent domain can take it all at pretty much any time. Our perception of freedom is wildly flawed.

How very fascist indeed
Weaponizing the DOJ to go after your enemies…

How very fascist.
Trump: "We have a lot of law firms that we're going to be going after, because they were very dishonest people. They were very, very dishonest. We have a lot of law firms that we're going after."

Nebraska is going to get crushed between Tariffs and Medicaid cuts. They have to balance their state budget and it looks like at least a 200m shortfall this year. BEFORE tariff impacts.

And Nebraska Republicans here ! Curious what you think

Trump inherited an economy that was firing on all cylinders. Now, just weeks into his tenure, the outlook is far gloomier -- and the sudden deterioration is due almost entirely to his policies and the uncertainty they have created.

not me crying over the beautiful Pepé, who would not let anyone tell her she can't run the Iditarod at nearly age 12

PEPE!!!!!
This queen, Pepe, is leading her second Iditarod. She'll be 12 in May and is an exceptional lead dog. Also, she's adorable. I'd love to meet her next time she's in Whitehorse! #Uglydogs #MusherSky #Qditarod #Iditarod

Eleanor retired from sled dog racing last year and we're so honored to be this lead dog's retirement home. Her independence deeply menaces me everyday, and I wouldn't trade it for the world.

4 years ago next month Frosting retired from her very spoiled and robust tenure racing on a sled dog team. We've taught each other a lot, but despite having served in the wheel position I'm never unsure who runs this house.

Sometimes I wish I could casually stop to eat at airport restaurants whenever I wanted. Like, I hate flying, but I love getting shit canned on margaritas and eating chicken tortilla soup at an airport Chili's.

We have no failsafes to protect us. Something I had known and dreaded, but also something that comes as a tragic surprise to me.
USAID.gov is down. Why is this concerning? Trump has no legal authority to eliminate a congressionally funded independent agency. The work of USAID is vital, and if this can happen to them, it can happen to any of us.
