The factional grifters will hate this, but the Mamdani-Spanberger-Sherrill axis actually suggests the outlines of a broad, emerging Dem coalition organized around both anti-Trump *and* affordability politics, not a party bitterly divided against itself.
These big wins will embolden Dems to take on Trump's lawbreaking and show there's a price for GOP enabling of him. Folks hate to hear this, but normal patterns are asserting themselves: Liberalism isn't dead, Rs are likely to lose in 2026, and Trump is really unpopular, not a magical exception.

100%. Repairing democracy will require immediate action to (1) fix voting rights (John Lewis Voting Rights act) (2) reform SCOTUS (expand the court and add term limits) and (3) grant DC statehood.
Holder: The Supreme Court is a broken institution. And it’s something that has to be part of the national conversation in ’26 and in ’28.
If there is a Democratic trifecta in 2028—and I think the possibility of that is pretty good—Supreme Court reform has to be on the table.

DOD’s argument seemed to be that the trans ban policy was NOT driven by the President’s Exec Order on trans service, so… just coincidence that the policy came out days later?? 🙄
