All this AI investment, but we still can't figure out how to get The Tea Party's full album back catalog on streaming services :'(

Little yellow #Playdate console friends, if you have some time over the next week to help me out and play test SpinShot (an arcade block breaker score chaser with a spin) pop your details into the play testing form and I'll be in touch. forms.gle/sng14hFABTkA...

Hi Internet! I'm Drew and THIS IS MY FACE.

If this GIF has ever brought you joy in the past, I humbly ask you to consider making a donation to the National MS Society. It would mean a lot to me and to those I know affected by the disease!

It's been such a great year for fans of the particular flavour of heavy music I happen to be into.

We've gotten new albums from Sleep Token, Deftones, Thornhill, Spiritbox, Bloodywood, Igorrr, Architects - and new songs from Karnivool, Don Bronco, Dayseeker, President, and more.

We feasting. 🤘

All those sensible game devs who said the hardest part about making a game is finishing a game. Not wrong. Not wrong at all.

Development on SpinShot for the #playdate continues and is going great. I've been putting time into achievements and tutorials recently.

Also busy polishing the story, UI, and added an endless Arcade mode.

Whoever at @atlassian.bsky.social needs to hear it, please fund a small team to continue developing Arc and maybe even make it open source?

I don't think I've ever randomly stumbled across such Google reviews drama before, but this is wild. Yikes.

Not sure Microsoft is going to win this AI race.

A nice reminder that this Friday's Euromillions jackpot is a whopping 174 million pounds, or put another way 0.05% of Elon Musk's net worth.

We are incredibly disappointed by the Labour government's decision to seek advice from such a narrow segment of our industry. You can find our open letter here: www.gameworkers.co.uk/open-letter-...

I'm really enjoying The Alters for the most part, however the game design around recovering from dead-end states in the game can be quite frustrating.

AI-generated code is buggy, unsafe, and inefficient. Fixing those problems cancels out all the productivity benefits of using AI tools, so devs hate them.

But what if there was a methodology where those weren't (your) problems? Turns out there is.

I've updated eXtreme Go Horse for the AI era.
The future of AI-driven development isn’t Agile. It’s XGH.
The eXtremeGoHorse method perfectly complements the strengths of AI-powered dev tools. Introducing XGH+AI.

It seems like not enough people are playing Bionic Bay. It rules. A mix between Limbo and Speedrunners. Tight platforming, absolutely gorgeous pixel art, and crazier physics puzzles and abilities. It's cheap and runs perfect on Steam Deck.

So happy to see Austin Walker (waypoint, giant bomb) has a new podcast discussing games regularly, AND that it's exactly as good as you'd expect. www.clockworkworlds.com/side-story-m...
Side Story: My New Games Podcast
Hey everyone, happy April Fools Day, I promise none of this is a joke. For the last few years—ever since leaving Waypoint for game dev in 2021—I have heard it again and again: "I really miss hearing ...

The Zen Browser project has been making a surprising amount of progress recently (certainly more than Arc has, ugh). There are still a few core features missing (picture in picture for videos, "little zen", and crucially auto-closing tabs) but it's worth checking out again.

Increasingly feeling like a lot of tech products aren't 'for me' right now. Holding onto a phone (Pixel) and laptop (Yoga) I don't really love, because there's nothing that feels significant enough to warrant an upgrade. Always feels like if I wait for the next version, it might be the right recipe.

Parts of the new Sleep Token song sound like Bo Burnham's "All eyes on me" and you can't convince me otherwise.
