Little yellow #Playdate console friends, if you have some time over the next week to help me out and play test SpinShot (an arcade block breaker score chaser with a spin) pop your details into the play testing form and I'll be in touch. forms.gle/sng14hFABTkA...

Development on SpinShot for the #playdate continues and is going great. I've been putting time into achievements and tutorials recently.

Also busy polishing the story, UI, and added an endless Arcade mode.

I don't think I've ever randomly stumbled across such Google reviews drama before, but this is wild. Yikes.

Not sure Microsoft is going to win this AI race.

Rofl at that being the thing they took issue with from that site XD (I don't know if they changed it, but it doesn't currently have "original" anywhere in the recipe. It just says simple.)

I'm really enjoying The Alters for the most part, however the game design around recovering from dead-end states in the game can be quite frustrating.

It seems like not enough people are playing Bionic Bay. It rules. A mix between Limbo and Speedrunners. Tight platforming, absolutely gorgeous pixel art, and crazier physics puzzles and abilities. It's cheap and runs perfect on Steam Deck.

I liked how crazy things got with Windows Media Player being like: "hold my beer"...

It's been a strong end to 2024 as I finish up some shorter games leading up to Xmas that I've been hearing good things about all year. :)

So many solo devs and small 2-4 person teams in my lists this year. Can't wait to post my year's wrap up article.

Finished Dungeons of Hinterberg. Both marvellous and frustrating. I deeply wish there was a 10-12 hour version of this game, and I really felt I had to push through to get to the end, however that a team of 9 made so much, and such varied content is a huge achievement.

You can pet the dog.

Oh good, we may need to solve this properly in *checks notes* 8,000 years.

If anyone wants a free startup idea, solve this problem please.

As a lapsed climber, Cairn (demo on steam) captures the spirit and feel of climbing unlike any game I've ever played. Janky in the right ways, beautiful and calm in the right ways. Foot placement is everything.

So it looks like the cockpits in Mechwarrior 5: Clans have Muzen bluetooth speakers in them?

So, I've been busy teaching myself game dev over the last year, and am incredibly excited to announce my first game is nearing release!

SpinShot is an arcade block-breaker score-chaser with a spin, made exclusively for the #Playdate console. youtu.be/c2w0nLAjyRU?...
