Food bills 📈
Electricity bills 📈
Daycare bills 📈
Jobs 📉
Wages 📉

What’s worse is that this is just the Trump admin’s economic policies in action. They’re shrinking the middle class by making unforced errors and catering to billionaires.

The grit and determination of America’s workers and unions built the American Dream and a strong middle class.

Your jobs, your pay, your future are what we join arms with workers and unions to fight for.

Happy Labor Day!
This Labor Day, thank a union. Our nation’s workers have better wages, stronger benefits, and safer working conditions because of them.

Duck blinds. iPads and Apple gear. Thermal optics.

Bought with YOUR tax dollars under a corrupt Republican Sheriff.

🗳 In 2026, we must hold this corruption accountable by electing candidates who will protect your tax dollars. 🗳

It was an honor to be able to speak at the TNDP Veterans Caucus Town Hall this morning. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Our veterans deserve policies that honor their service and sacrifice. Proud to stand alongside organizations and elected officials who are standing up for veterans each day, and working for their futures.

Knoxville just lost $42 million in infrastructure grants for East Knoxville. Funding that would have gone to sidewalks, safe streets, and neighborhood improvements.

And yes, Tim Burchett, Marsha Blackburn, and Bill Hagerty all voted for it.

Elections matter.

Are you better off than you were 6 months ago? Tonight, Burchett will tell working people not to look behind the curtain while our schools are losing positions, our children are losing food programs, and people in his district will lose healthcare coverage no matter what spin he puts on it.
Can someone tell Burchett calls with pre-screened Q’s where you don’t actually have to face constituents don’t count as “town halls”, and only serve to highlight their cowardice? 🐔

(@marshablackburn loves to do these also— no real town halls since 2017)

Out with the old, in with the new.

Politics that prioritizes people, results, and compassion is the future.

Republican Presidents used to speak like this, but now they announce new wars on social media.

“Thank you for your attention to this matter.”

Local news estimates that 7,500+ came out to exercise their 1st amendment rights.

Speaking out is powerful.

More Knox County federal funding cut news from the people with KnoxFill.

Hate to see these cuts to local programs that do so much for the community.

The DLCC fundraising tactics are highly confusing to people who are not very plugged into party politics.

This “renew your membership” or “pending renewal” stuff undermines red-state organizing efforts, and works against actual party building and membership that build political power for local orgs

Never thought I’d use “rolling over like a dog for ‘tummy scratches’ from the president” in a statement but there wasn’t a more apt expression for the performative grandstanding our congressman does.

We deserve a real leader in Congress. Burchett isn’t up for the job anymore.
It's no secret that Congressman Burchett is making a habit of betraying his district for praise from Trump, but today's move to codify Trump's executive orders has betrayed all East Tennesseans who are hurting under the billionaire-focused MAGA 2.0 agenda.

East Tennessee deserves better.

Being a stereotypical “strong man” is not strength, it’s weakness.

Being unable to convince others to work for a common goal means you’re failing as a leader. We should be wary of the people who show or praise that kind of leadership.

You can’t call it a town hall if the public and press aren’t allowed in. Knox County’s Republican legislators are hiding from voters — and dodging accountability.

Meanwhile, @votegloriaj.bsky.social and Rep. Sam McKenzie continue to step up. Details on the town hall TBA in the coming weeks.

Ridiculous decision that continues to protect an obscene use of force and escalation by police across the United States.

Getting pulled over for speeding should not lead to being beaten to death. The video is sickening and this decision is not justice.
