Funding more cops was a test.

Ignoring COVID was a test.

Increasing deportations & border abuses was a test.

Not cancelling student loans was a test.

Losing Roe was a test.

Dropping M4A as a topic was a test.

They're testing what you'll condone, and it turns out the answer is "all of it".

At some point I might just write “what if everybody is wrong?” because there is a chance I believe nobody bothered to work out if any of this would make a profit or, indeed, whether you’d be able to power the data centers themselves
Amazon just sued one of the largest power companies in Oregon after it failed to power up two data center (one without enough power and one with no power at all) campuses that were meant to be ready *in 2021*. Sure hope this isn't an industry wide problem!

sigh.

as always:

moderates, the (not so) secret arm of fascism.
Even when directly confronted in good faith, you continue to fail to see how your lukewarm stance is literally the fucking problem and has been for a long time.

It would be embarrassing, really, if it weren't so blatantly embedded in the classism your language betrays.

Dem voters are going to spin their wheels calling for Schumer to resign while whoever would take over for him would do the exact same things he's done. The. same. things. The rot is pervasive.

ya love to see it! 🥰🙏
This town has officially decided to fight against the construction of an AI data center that would service a nuclear weapons laboratory 1,500 miles away.

Amber Fellows, a Ypsilanti Township councilmember, tells us why:

uhhh ok.... 😂

oof, this is embarrassing.

Let's be so serious for one second:
why would anyone want to associate themselves with a party (Dems) that speaks to people in such a manner, anyway?
Ok, let's try this, what was your highest math class? science class? Economics class? Civics class? Your comments so far say you are dumber than a box of rocks.

The number of people still posting shit like, "here's the reasonable thing Dems SHOULD be doing" is depressing me

My good children, the Dems are not confused.

*you* are

keeping true to form, eh liberals?
How Dems spent the last half decade:

- actively commiting genocide in Palestine

- allowing Roe V Wade to fall w no protections

- crumbling on trans rights for at-risk youth

- destroying the environment w policies like Mountain Valley Pipeline

- deporting people en masse

- funding cop cities

oh wow, who could have possibly seen this coming except every single one of us paying attention.
Firstly: every single policy I listed directly harmed and continues to harm "the common person" (what?)...

Second: dems started this erosion yrs ago and are now gleefully watching republicans take it to the logical conclusion.
It's clear "two parties" is a myth.
Don't miss the forest for the trees.

No food, no clean water, no medicine… his survival depends on your support today.
We urgently need $250 to cover Naser’s treatment and basic necessities.❤️‍🩹

And I've been doing politics for long enough to know clearly that the entire Senate Democratic caucus agreed to this decision to fold. Open your eyes. The 8 who "broke" did so with the complete blessing of Schumer and their colleagues. You don't have to play along because this is not a game. The end

I will also add:

I can do this for evictions in Illinois too, if SNAP benefits being cut off or the government shutdown means you can't make rent.
If you're arrested in Illinois for the means by which you acquire food for your family because of the government shutdown or loss of SNAP benefits, I can represent you pro bono. Email me at sheryl@weikallaw.com. As always, I will take as many cases as I can.

Thread: part of an ongoing project to erase people of color from military history:
1/ The US Government has quietly removed a memorial to Black soldiers who died in World War II from the Netherlands American Cemetery in Margraten, South Limburg. The move follows a complaint from the right-wing Heritage Foundation to the American Battle Monuments Commission. ⬇️

"For procedural reasons Justice Jackson had to issue the stay, I'm sure her legal reasoning was sound...."

PEOPLE. ARE. STARVING. Can they eat the rules of procedure? No? THEN FEED THEM.

The purpose of a system is what it does. And if the rules of procedure allow people to starve, they're wrong.

"she imposed a pause meant to give an appeals court more time to weigh the legal arguments raised by the government"

in other words, she literally just gave the government even more time to LEGALLY starve our country's children.
🖕
remember, folks: legal DOES NOT MEAN ethical.

I wouldn't say that this headline "borders" on evil.

I'd say it's fully steeped, both feet in the circle fucking evil.
What happened, @nytimes.com? Why not stand by your original headline? Because it’s absolutely an accurate representation of this trash conversation.

To publish this at all should be a fireable offense - but to publish it as women’s rights are being decimated is deeply immoral, bordering on evil

Adoption doesn’t exist outside the family policing system—it depends on it.
Behind every “forever family” headline is surveillance, removal, and profit from separation.

it's... interesting living in a corrupt town.

you talk to all the citizens and we're mad as hell, organizing under the hood, finding ways to fight back against City Hall.

but if you look at our city's government's claims (admin and council) through media, you would NEVER know this is happening.
November 7, 2025 at 2:27 PM
y'all need to stop doing this, fucking seriously.
Sincerely, fuck using " #adopted" as cutesy replacement language for "mentoring".
I.e.:
"I *adopted* my friend because they needed guidance on [insert thing]."

NO!
You are *mentoring* a friend/community member in a life skill you have & they lack.
So say that!
