The worst movie takes you'll ever agree with.
Pike Matton is the fella who paints a tunnel on a brick wall and Anthony Kiedis is the fool who runs smack into that wall lol.
I dream about a fictional fight scene between Patton and Kiedis

Every once in a while I have to remind myself that James Cromwell has never acted in a James Cameron movie, which is fucking wild. Those two feel made for each other as collaborators.

Avatar discourse mk. 3 is yet another demonstration of how sometimes the internet needs to reckon with the difference between inspiration and depiction. The Na'vi are not real, they have real-world inspirations in indigenous peoples but there is not one nation they are a direct representative of.

I love the Avatar movies, but if you have not seen or liked The Way of Water, do yourself a favor and don't see Fire and Ash. It would be an exercise in masochism for anyone uninvested or unaware of the character dynamics from that second movie.
I've skipped the first two Avatars, is there any reason whatsoever to see the new one?

(Note: I have no inherent interest in the technology of the medium. I also never thought that CD-ROMs were "cooler" than books.)

Birth of a Nation discourse returns in a way I'd have liked to leave behind to undergrad memories. Movie's a boring piece of shit and any talk about it lends to just boring repackaging of common sense as profound. Anybody who needs to be told the epic glorifying the Klan is racist can't be helped.

One of the best movies ever, don't miss it.
I’ll be screening Luis Buñuel’s Viridiana on 16mm this week as part of my ongoing programming at the Main Library in Downtown Miami. Screens on Saturday, with chatting and set up around 2PM and the feature starting at 3PM. Free for all, as usual.

People reacting to Golden Globe nominations as anything but a gleam in the direction awards season is taking the titles is when I start to understand people who act above the rim for not caring about the Oscars lol.
