Guys. Mandani just bulldozed the Democratic establishment. Walked into the White House, and hypnotized Donald Trump into a democratic socialist. The spell will wear off as Miller, Vought and others reacting in horror rush in to break the spell. But this is hilarious!
Trump says more nice things about Mamdani and they shake hands

Holy Mother Church gives you this:

Lmao Pope Leo threw a rave for an archbishop's 75th birthday this is kind of incredible

Trump bought Boeing bonds while rewarding the company billions in federal contracts.

He bought Intel bonds after directing the government to acquire a stake in the company.

He bought Meta bonds while pushing AI-friendly policy.

Trump isn’t governing — he’s cashing in.

I remember alarm bells going off for me in an interview with her, probably 4-5 years ago. We’d become familiar with journalists joining live streams and news segments via Zoom from their home offices, kitchens, etc. during Covid. /1
"She’s not trying to rebuild her reputation as a journalist—she’s building a different kind of brand entirely, one where being interesting matters more than being ethical, where attention is the only currency that still spends."

The best thing I have read about her. www.mediaite.com/opinion/the-...
The Olivia Nuzzi Comeback Is Everything Wrong With Modern Media
Olivia Nuzzi’s comeback isn’t a personal scandal story—it’s proof that today’s media rewards access, personality, and controversy more than ethics.

“‘The record of this vote will last longer than Donald Trump’s presidency,’ Mr. Massie said on ABC’s ‘This Week,’ reminding his colleagues that they should avoid putting themselves in the posture of agreeing ‘to protect pedophiles,’ as he put it, because Mr. Trump insisted they do so.”

This reinforces my opinion that the key to getting broad electoral support is to concentrate on the problems foremost in the mind of voters, and the values that the candidate will apply to finding solutions. The electorate is overwhelmingly non-ideological.

The hidden axis: the left-right spectrum has a non-ideology problem
Most voters want a party that emphasizes cost of living issues and makes the world a better place. Few Americans think in solidly ideologically terms. "Moderates" are mostly non-ideological.

This is how military coups start
And it seems to me. That this problem starts to become a massive one for leaders. How can they be happy that their sailors and subordinates start to think they are working for a broken and corrupt organization and questioning whether every act is proper and a “real legitimate order”.
