10th anniversary today of the graphic novel @eddieargos.bsky.social and I (amongst others) did for Image Comics. 10 YEARS! Actual fulfilment of a teenage Steve dream, still gives me a buzz that my Image shelf has a book that we made on it.

If you're traveling by train, buy some fucking headphones. I don't want to listen to your shitty music, hear a crappy American comedy, or listen to a conversation with your significant other who's a bigger twat than you.

There’s a fairly reasonable chance that, if you look around, you’ll spot something purple right now. (I did – it’s a massive pillow.) Purple absolutely definitely exists. You apologise to Alice Walker, right now!
So - exactly why is it the internet thinks the colour purple does not exist?

Some notes on the non-existence of purple

Well aren’t Disney going to look silly when The War Between The Land And The Sea breaks all existing streaming records?

I used to work on a low budget TV show. Nobody internally or externally seemed to care about it . I once put the lyrics to "Don't Stop Believing" in the credit roll and I didn't hear a thing about it.

If there's a follow-up album to "All The Young Droids", surely this one has a guaranteed spot?

Terrible sleeve art, but oh! Excellent tunes.
'This wonderful compilation traces the various ripples that coalesced and became a glorious wave that remains kinetic to this day. Whatever it is, come and jump in. The water is joyous.'

Tell me your most unhinged Doctor Who opinion. I mean, if you’re a fan, they’re likely all unhinged anyway.

The BBC are accidentally running the subtitles to Mrs Marple over the Mercury Prize, and it’s rather wonderful. A few of lines could plausibly have been written by Jarvis.

Fairly sure that’s Tom Baker.
A stunning head of Medusa, the mythical creature whose sight turns everyone to stone. Medusa’s head was a popular motif used to ward off any evil.

The Phantom Menace. Double cultural hole ‘cos I’m a massive nerd (who isn’t overly fussed about Star Wars).
Inspired by a post I just saw in which someone admitted they hadn’t seen a single episode of Friends nor the film Love Actually… what cultural hole do you have that’s a bit weird for your generation?
I’ll go first: I haven’t seen Dirty Dancing.

This is mind-blowing. I think in a good way, but I reserve the right to change my mind.
I'd completely forgotten about Manfred Mann's Earth Band's cover of The Jam's "Going Underground". It's proof positive that anything can be made to sound like a possible Radio 2 playlist record circa 1985 (see also Paul Jones's cover of "Pretty Vacant").

#bandcampfriday ! Download some DIY but (I think) still rather glossy dance-tinged pop! By, uh, me. Amongst others. Bandcamp genuinely does help us pay for mastering, which is kind of amazing. prismatiqk.bandcamp.com
