The first time I read "heavy television support" I interpreted it as something like a Sony PVM
Part of VGHF's Mark Flitman papers (https://archive.gamehistory.org/folder/205c628c-5d0a-4de8-a5a5-782f31706ac0), here's an internal postmortem on why Midway's racing sequel San Francisco Rush 2049 underperformed vs. sales goals on N64 and Dreamcast. (Not enough TV spend?)

Sure @gamehistoryorg.bsky.social just released 144 Sega Channel ROMS but the hits keep coming with @frankcifaldi.bsky.social's live stream today! I know some of the things we think are in this lot and it'll be fun to see the data out in the wild.
Hey! Are you gifted in piecing together game data? I'm going to need help during this live stream today! I'm putting raw EPROMs in a public folder, but need help piecing them together. Systems are NES, GEN, SNES, GB, GG, Jag. There are new unreleased games here! www.youtube.com/live/RJwR8jX...

Well, shit. Going to have to find a way to visit one last time before they close
Namco's legendary Sugamo arcade (fka Namco PlayCity Carrot Sugamo) will be closing its doors on March 22 🇯🇵 this venue's been operating since '84 and is not only the mecca for pre-release Namco games & hot games in general but also built the communities that would underpin much of JP's games media

How amazing is this? VGHF

- found a never-before-seen NES prototype
- obtained the rights
- finished the game using period-accurate tools
- is releasing it physically through iam8bit as a charity fundraiser.
We're partnering with @gamehistoryorg.bsky.social + @megacatstudios.bsky.social to release Xcavator 2025, a never before seen NES game from the legendary Chris Oberth.

Incredible stories shared at the Byte Shop 50th Anniversary from people who were there at the time like Paul Terrell, Lee Felsenstein, Steve Leininger, and Steve Wozniak. Cool artifacts and projects on display as well. Happy 50th Byte Shop!

Went on a bird walk at Lake Merritt. When we were walking though the community garden a woman was harvesting sunchokes and when I commented on how good they looked she gave me a bag of them to take home. Community gardens rule!

Apologies for the tease but picked up a pretty big lot of game stuff today, some of which I've been trying to shake loose for 15+ years. Nothing earth shattering but rare nonetheless.

Getting it over to @gamehistoryorg.bsky.social so that we can properly document and share what we are allowed to!
