Head of music at @NoiseboxRadio.com. Not officially autistic but I did write "Sound of the Crowd: a Discography of the '80s" which is just 500 pages of '80s singles with all their different formats and catalogue numbers, so...
Yeah, ha ha, "no longer living but still in a box", very good, but I'm actually really sad about this. I bought both their albums, they made some really great pop songs and he had a fantastic voice. And 65 is absolutely no age. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

I’ve heard a lot of stories, I suppose they could be true, all about Off The Chart and what it can do to you. Still, give it a listen anyway because this week we’re going back 40 years to look at the UK singles chart from this week in 1985! offthechart.show/11-november-...

We've lost Gilson Lavis. The engine behind my favourite band for so many years. Could take anything that Difford and Tilbrook threw at him and knew just what to do to make it work. He was there right from "Packet of Three" to "Play". He could rattle those toms like nobody else. Oh, what a loss.

Hi, I'm Ravishing Rick Rude, and I'm here to tell you to turn this off, you fuckers
If you aren't seeing skeets from some of your fave people, they might have been labeled "Rude" by bsky mods. Idk what they are thinking, I don't need a mommy to tell me who to be buddies with. Anyway, go into Settings > moderation > bluesky moderation (advanced) and turn Rude off.

Pleased to say a greatest hits collection done correctly. All single versions (to these old ears) present and correct - single mix of "Ant Rap", "Stand and Deliver" with fade out, even "Apollo 9" without that bit of the next track on the album at the end that blights every other compilation. Nice.

The BBC are accidentally running the subtitles to Mrs Marple over the Mercury Prize, and it’s rather wonderful. A few of lines could plausibly have been written by Jarvis.

I love how straightforward album titles were in the early days. Wouldn't it be so much better if, instead of unpronounceable hieroglyphics, Ed Sheeran's new album was just called "Here's Ed Sheeran"? Then you'd be able to avoid it a lot easier.

This is a theme that never gets old, like John Lennon listening to the Human League, or Freddie Mercury watching Vic Reeves' Big Night Out.
The Atari 2600 was still available to buy in the shops when the 3DO launched.
