Shocking... Well, not that shocking
In the most predictable development ever, Mike Johnson is not committing to hold a House vote on ACA subsidies

Maybe important to note it was the disruption in air travel that Democrats couldn't stand and not, you know, 40+ million people not knowing where their next meal was coming from.

Dems backed Trump into a corner where he’s advocating for starving Americans and hemorrhaging support. If they vote to let him off the hook in exchange for nothing it’s a cataclysmic failure. I know people are in pain but insulating Republicans from political consequences is not the answer.

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.
The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.
People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.
And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

I am giving Republicans every opportunity in the world to DO THE RIGHT THING and work with Democrats to save the health care tax credits.
But Republicans have agency. I can’t force them to save health care for their own constituents.

There is something deeply broken about an economy that creates trillionaires while people get buried under the cost of living and 42 million go hungry. The ultra-rich should realize that my Billionaires Income Tax, aimed at ensuring they pay their fair share, represents the moderate path forward.
Tesla shareholders have approved a pay package that could make CEO Elon Musk, already the world’s richest person, the world’s first trillionaire. https://cnn.it/43KZnkA

Elon Musk wants a pay package worth $1 trillion.
But an emerging group of opponents argue the package is excessive, and some say Musk’s political and side ventures have put the company at risk.

Elon Musk’s ultimatum to Tesla: Make me a trillionaire or I may leave
A proposed pay package could make Tesla CEO Elon Musk the world’s first trillionaire, but it faces resistance from shareholders and critics who say it’s unearned.

The sandwich came apart and "kind of exploded" on his chest upon impact, he says.

Yeah Dems let's re open the government. Trump is freaking out. What you're doing right now (which is nothing) is making him melt down. So keep doing that. It's clearly working.

RAJU: Last week you were very critical of Biden's use of the autopen. But Trump admitted on 60 Minutes to not knowing he pardoned a crypto billionaire who pleaded guilty to money laundering. Does that also concern you?

Does the Speaker of the House know what's going on in the country?
It's not clear that he does, as Mike Johnson's communication strategy seems to rely heavily on being unaware.
When faced with questions he should be able to answer, he has a reliable response: "I don't know."

it's genuinely remarkable how refusing to cover anything up or explain anything, and just doing it out in the open, completely launders it now. no cover up no crime!

O'DONNELL: His crypto exchange Binance helped facilitate a $2b purchase of World Liberty Financial's stablecoin. And they you pardoned him.
