Probably a super long shot, but I don't suppose anyone has a tattoo artist/spot they love and want to recommend in the Denver/Boulder area?

Trying to understand how it’s possible that was all only the first full week of 2026.

So deeply appreciative of anyone trying in times like this.

If online activism is a part of that for you, wonderful, make waves. But also validating those who for mental health, safety, or other reasons choose to have those big conversations and do the hard work in less public, more direct venues.

Some reads I enjoyed last year! I'm glad I mixed in a lot of cozy books to even out the heavy ones. (Mood readers represent.) #booksky
My favorite reads of 2025
Books, books, books.

Baby’s new +/- list from first ever travel:

Likes
*Back-of-seat tray tables — 8/10, fun to move up and down, less so for the person whose chair it is
*Bumpy plane landings — 11/10, shriek-laughter worthy

Dislikes
*Bag drop — 0/10, diaper blowout zone, watching mom and dad wrangle luggage is boring

Have cycled all the way through holiday anxiety into holiday exhaustion, really hoping holiday zen is next up.

Two very human, difficult, and beautiful documentaries that I'm glad I got to experience this year:

-StaceyAnn Chin's "A Mother Apart"

-Andrea Gibson's "Come See Me in the Good Light"

A Mother Apart featuring Staceyann Chin
A Mother Apart accompanies powerhouse Jamaican-American poet and LGBTQ+ activist Staceyann Chin as she re-imagines the essential art of mothering, having been abandoned by her own mother.

There really can’t be too many activities with a greater “feels cool / looks ridiculous” discrepancy than destroying a level on Beat Saber.

We’ve had one real snow so far this season and now apocalypse winds. Cool cool cool 😬
A damaging windstorm today will contribute to Extremely Critical fire weather conditions. Wind gusts up to 100mph, temperatures near 70F, and relative humidity near 10% will yield high-end fire weather environment along/near the Front Range. Stay aware& follow instructions from emergency officials.

I was going to make a reading goal to finish Toni Morrison’s work (I’ve read most of her canonical books, but still missing others). I think I need to wait until I’m less sleep deprived though, so I can better appreciate her craft skill.

I love when you’re listening to a podcast and can tell the hosts are truly friends and just having the best time. Whether it’s nerding out to some shared niche fixation or riffing off each other’s humor, or anything really.

My top music this year was half KPop demon hunters, and the rest was an odd mix of country, 2000s pop, and instrumental/classical.

The fact that my baby sister somehow convinced our parents to participate in family-wide secret Santa over usual gift giving I think definitively negates all of her arguments that she doesn’t have special persuasive powers as the youngest.

Either that or shows how tired everyone is lol.

I do see life in terms of seasons. I feel like I’m just starting to come out of an intensely internal one (that probably started with the pandemic) and orienting a bit more toward connection.
