Zeta Gundam has a lot of stuff about Gender going on in it, and sometimes explores the topic really clumsily, but it clearly has something to say, because at its heart, it's a show about the ways men manipulate and place their burdens and sins and pain onto women.

i'm gonna go one step further and say that watching stuff you end up not liking is healthy for developing an appreciation for the things you do. it helps you understand what goes on behind the art you're attracted to, it's good habit making !

Dragon Quest II (also Sugiyama I guess) and their ability to make the most energetically joyful and whimsical Town theme I've heard thus far that SOMEHOW made me cry when I first listened to it needs to be studied. GOD I LOVE DRAGON QUEST SO MUCHHHHH

Oh boy skybound discourse again. My take is that the comic is not "adult" at all. A lot of kids are reading it. It is the first time the Decepticons are shown killing human beings because this outlines the stakes of the story to show you they are evil. The extent of shown gore is red mush.
