Archon Ardat - de-facto leader of the Children of the Apocalypse. Their political representant, although he responds to a higher figure within the organization. Nikaia - Ardat's coadjutrix (the term I use in Italian is "paredra", but I haven't found an exact version in English for it, so...). I like her bun-pigtails. On the Children of the Apocalypse: The main technological organization on Marbok, they are widely regarded as those who saved humankind from the oblivion of the Great Obliteration, allowing civilization to flourish thanks to their monopoly on the septima and its energy, the Flux. In reality, the Children benefit from the status quo and wield power that fuels the conflict on Marbok as they remain neutral bystanders, and their purposes (and the things they know) remain a mystery. They collaborate directly with various powers through their extended net of diplomats, but particularly with the Gean Empire and its technology department. Eshe Gilmesh - diplomat, Consul, intermediary of septima exchanges in the Gean Empire. Also, the Squad's contact and a trigger element... or maybe, just part of an inevitable shift. Indeed, someone with her own reasons as well. Note on design: More blue - color of the Flux, and also slightly closer to Imperial fashion lines. Also, costume for her attendants. (with headdresses that kind of imitate her beehive hairstyle lol) I'm uncertain about their color tho and lastly, these two guys. Yosca - an agent sent to retrieve... a certain someone. He works for their research programs, despite aiming for a higher rank. Kiral Dum - a man with a lot of technological insight who works with Imperial Gendarmerie as an advisor and diplomat after a certain point in the story. Yosca's superior.

Let it be known just last night Maduro offered the US "peace", collaboration against the supposed drug cartels, and free access to our oil. I am not defending him, I sure as shit don't like this dictatorship as I have been living under it all my life but it's not lost on me how coincidental this is.

TANYA CHARZET The young pilot working for the rebel group known as the Cesnai Squad in Badenvek's enclave, and the protagonist of the story. Skilled yet volatile, defiant and rather individualistic, with a tendency to escape from her responsibilities aboard her hoverbike. She's tied to a winged pendant, left to her by her father before his mysterious disappearance when she was just a child. The sense of suffucation she feels due to her role is juxtaposed to her visceral relationship with flight and the strange, fragmented dreams that torment her from time to time. Her destiny seems to change, however, when during what seemed like a raid on an Imperial ship like any other she discovers a prototype aircraft, that seems to be calling for her... SANDA ERDE The Squad's newly appointed radio operator and also the protégée of one of their benefactors. While she appears sheltered and naive, she hides a sharp, assertive mind and a strong idealism, making her unafraid to challenge others, especially Tanya, with whom she ends up clashing with early on. As shown by her silver hair and face markings, she has Adrassian origins, but is rather secretive about her past. As Tanya discovers the prototype, she becomes her navigator almost by chance, with both of them getting directly involved in the following events and the conflict brewing between the three major factions in Marbok. ERIK SIGFRIED A militia soldier from Badenvek, who accidentally crosses path with Tanya and Sanda early on. Outwardly easygoing and lighthearted yet deeply principled and with a kind heart, he seems to however keep more than it seems to himself. He's grown disillusioned with the establishment in Badenvek and wonders where he belongs, despite finding the enclave to be his home and a place he wishes to protect. As he rescues the mysterious woman fallen beneath Badenvek's tower, he is unaware of how this will lead him to get involved in the whole chaos unfolding in the enclave, which will make him question all of his beliefs and get closer to the Cesnai Squad and their plight... LEILA A woman that emerges from a capsule crashed beneath the sky-touching tower of Badenvek, awakened without any memory of herself. Aloof and enigmatic yet somewhat clueless, she nevertheless shows a wise nature and a knack for grasping the subtleties of others' emotions and her surroundings; this leads her to immediately establish a bond with the man who rescued her, Erik Sigfried, who ends up being the one giving her a name upon her request. Her own nature, however, seems to be connected with the events connected to the heist of the prototype by the Squad, and the mysterious implant on her back, with secrets regarding the nature itself of the most used energy source in their world...

I liked Kaneko's artworks because his works feels like a direct ascendant of late 80s anime (esp tatsunoko->studio bebow's clan lineage), probably owing to his backstory of being an animator.
