The Earth did not stood still at all, anyway, it's the start of the 50's
Not a big fan of SF movies where the aliens are just weird humans. Also, the pacifist message doesn't work on me. It ends with "well, don't fight or we destroy the Earth lol"

12 August 1943 : Phantom of the Opera
It's seems that this version is not popular at all but I actually like it, the opera scenes are good. Some scenes are weird because of the editing though, weird choices.
I think I prefer Phantom of the Paradise for now that said
