losing my mind at the "she should have followed directions" people

really? really? you're cool with "if you don't follow directions, they get to kill you"? that seems like a good state of affairs to you? that seems like how law enforcement ought to work: instant obeisance or death?

The name "Popular Science" doesn't mean we shift our coverage depending on public opinion. It means we cover relevant subjects that are rigorously researched, reliable, and grounded in reality.

And trans lives are grounded in reality.

We see y'all. No matter what.

First-of-a-kind study shows encouraging data for trans kids who socially transition
Ninety-four percent of participants in a new study stood firm in their trans identity after five years, and "detransitioning" is rare.

Steve isn’t here anymore, but he always posted this picture on Hanukkah so I thought we could carry on his tradition and remember him.
Happy Hanukkah to our friends who celebrate. Rachel Posner, a rabbi’s wife in Kiel, Germany, took this photograph in 1931 -- a potent reminder that fascism must be fought in every generation, even if it's wrapped in an American flag and a red hat.

I don't *need* an electric kettle (the old fashioned kind is just fine for me) and I definitely don't *want* stainless steel chopsticks. The thought of it makes my teeth itch.

But we have a tagine, a Moka pot, a pepper mill, a crêpe pan, a tortilla press, and tea towels. I guess we're odd? 😜
This article is interesting mainly for blowing your mind as to how Americans don’t use the most basic of kitchen items like tea towels, a kettle, a pepper mill, etc 🤯
10 international kitchen staples most Americans haven’t caught on to yet
From French tea towels to Japanese knives, these international kitchen finds will make you ask: ‘Why don’t we have that?’
