Text SIGN POYAFN to 50409 — The bad budget bill will bring harm and death for short term gain by the very few. I am appalled. Today I write to you about the land sell off included in the bill. It would be a fire sale of precious heritage, assets which we should hold in trust for our descendants. The budget bill specifies that 250 MILLION ACRES of pristine public land be put up for sale. WHY???? For WHOSE BENEFIT??? This sale would be among the greatest betrayals of the American people in history. It would be the largest sale of public land in modern American history. What's more, there will be no hearings and opportunity for input from the public. According to the Wilderness Society, "Public lands eligible for sale in the bill encompass over 250 million acres, including local recreation areas, wilderness study areas, inventoried roadless areas, critical wildlife habitat and big game migration corridors." None of this makes America great. It is a ruinous and evil plan. Please, demand that this provision be removed. Vote NO on the terrible budget bill unless this provision is removed. Trump's numbers are underwater. Yours will be to if you refuse to listen. We did not vote for a budget that will cause death and ruin. Your job is to serve us and to defend the constitution. Not to hold a fire sale of public assets so they can be ruined and exploited. DO YOUR JOB. Say NO to this provision in the bill. RIP OUT the sections that enable and require the sale of public lands.
