Local media is calling it: Katie Wilson will be the next mayor of Seattle.

Wilson ousts Mayor Bruce Harrell after running as a progressive challenger.

Her win is a west coast companion to Mamdani’s as a statement victory for the left.

I knew that Trump regime isn't sending a delegation to the UN climate change conference in Brazil--COP30. It's the first time that the US hasn't been present at one of these conferences.
I didn't know that US TV networks are skipping it, too. An appalling abdication of journalistic responsibility.

I agree it is unlikely that Epstein will lead SOME of his base to drop him.
But:
1) It already has, for some.
2) It DOES ensure he can't control the narrative, which is devastating for him
3) It CAN be used to pressure easier targets, like Todd Blanche,
Raise your hand you think evidence of Trump’s involvement with Epstein’s abhorrent debauchery will meaningfully damage Trump?

Once again, the way you know that Trump knew Epstein was trafficking HIS OWN GIRLS is it happened w/Virginia Giuffre in 2000, he told (we now know) Maxwell to stop, then Maxwell did it again w/daughter of a club member.

"Mar-a-Lago" confessed all this in 2007.

The Trump administration is objectively pro-dictatorship, in the global sense.
In September, the Trump administration conducted a historic deportation flight to Iran.

We tracked down people deported on the plane.

Some are in hiding, others have fled the country.

Oh and by the way, we've had roughly 2M federal employees since the 1940s though our population has more than doubled.
Kind of wild that while food assistance was withheld from millions of families, one Trump-supporting billionaire (Ellison) saw his net worth grow more this year than the entire SNAP budget. And the YTD gains of the other four richest men would’ve fully covered salaries for all 2M federal employees.

I really like Bernie Sanders’ elder statesman era.

Unlike too many older politicians who cling to power and perpetuate an outdated political culture, Bernie is actively mentoring the next generation of progressive leaders before he retires.

It’s how it should be.
And it’s working.

Yesterday, when Bovino announced ICE would be returning to Little Village today, some of us donated and fundraised to buy out street vendors in the neighborhood. This morning, volunteers hit the streets at 6:30 am, looking for vendors to buy out. Tamales make an excellent breakfast.

Keep in mind, Trump's pardons meant that a great many Jan6 criminals didn't pay off their debt for ransacking the Capitol.

So these Senators are adding to the cost of Trump's attack on the Capitol even while taxpayers ALSO have to pay for his attack.
"The provision, tucked into a measure to fund the legislative branch, appears to immediately allow for eight GOP senators to sue over their phone records being seized in the course of the investigation by Jack Smith ... into the riot at the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021." www.nytimes.com/2025/11/10/u...
Spending Bill Would Pave Way for Senators to Sue Over Phone Searches
Republicans have voiced outrage that Jack Smith looked at G.O.P. lawmakers’ phone records surrounding the Jan. 6 attack. Legislation to reopen the government would allow them to sue for $500,000 each.

Please realize: when Ed Martin drafted the pardon for the fake electors he was pardoning himself. He made it pre-emptive and general, so it covers "all United States citizens for conduct relating to ... efforts to expose voting fraud and vulnerabilities in the 2020 presidential election." 1/
Ed Martin: "What this pardon does is help rescue the people who were hunted. The Biden administration hunted the alternate electors who were participating in our constitutional process in 2020 ... they were Trump supporters who believed in the Constitution."

For anyone who was sleeping, major political news last night: a judge chose a new map for Utah that will deliver a seat to Democrats.

Major point in Dems’ favor that effectively neuters the GOP’s move in Missouri, much like California countered Texas.
Just now: The plaintiffs who were arguing that Utah GOP's congressional map is illegal won in court.

The judge orders one of the two maps submitted by the plaintiffs ('map 1') be used.

The ruling, if it stands, guarantees that Democrats will pick up a congressional seat in Utah next year.
