• I've been told that I 'break physics' when playing pool.

As you might expect, it is a book that is as antiwar as you can get, but I was absolutely horrified reading it by the parallel I could draw with our current times.

Also, #catrescue update on Mirch. It's taken 6 months, but we had our first out of crate pats yesterday. And he didn't bloody do it by halves. Leaning in, getting distracted, giving shoulder and ears for pats, and that look even I stopped!

I dreamt about a reality dating show. 16 real people; real bodies, diverse demog's; actual, proper, compatible couples.
But it was a double cross. Production were making a reality/slasher show. One of the contestants was a killer.

Nothing like the minutes after finishing a good book. Closed, heavy in your hands. Caressing the silky cover. Fingers dancing over the embossing. Digesting the complex swirl of emotions.
I am now different to the person I was when I opened it.
