Can any electrical engineers or circuit monkeys tell me if my circuit is flawed?

It takes 19V in (to use for the Flip Dot Matrix), and converts to 5v for the arduino and shift registers.

LEDs are not included since they are only testing indicators.

This is your reminder that you are allowed to log off of the news fire house and go craft.

Make something.

Throw joy, pain, suffering, tears, anger, any and all of it into art.

I don't care if it is music, collage, painting, drawing, dance, or whatever.

Make something.

Because it matters.

Just figured out the issue with AI: They jumped right over the "R&D" & "go to market" phase, and immediately went into the "enshitification" phase.

Well...I just tumbled down a rabbit hole.
Found/logged into about 3 different microsoft accounts I've had.

Also, got my old hotmail account I haven't used in about 20yrs.
ALARMINGLY, there are emails in there to sign up for Nextdoor App at my CURRENT address. 😳

Digital Epstein Island.
I used to think X had no public utility but it is developing into some sort of monument to billionaire hubris. It's a living museum of paranoiac mania, a Grey Gardens situation.

As a pile of properties slam into the public domain today, one thing to watch out for and see are industrial-level goalpost moving by various claimed rights people against the properties. Like the Doyle family has done previously, these situations are going to be annoying, slow, and rampant.

For beginners, it can be difficult to know what to put in alt text, as well as when alt text is needed and when it isn't. This decision tree from W3C helps you determine what to do, based on specific situations.

(slightly less) NEW: I wrote about spying & accountability: “In 2025, the practice of recording police on a systematic scale turned from an activity largely carried out by protesters and activists into a populist practice carried out by anyone who happens to be around.” www.wired.com/story/expire...
The New Surveillance State Is You
Privacy may be dead, but civilians are turning conventional wisdom on its head by surveilling the cops as much as the cops surveil them.

There's actually very little stuff in my life that I want automated, and I don't trust solutions which I perceive to introduce precarity to the setup.

Automation for the hell of it is introducing precarity where there needn't be any, so I only look for solutions when I have actual problems to solve
