I've been doing some creative writing. Nothing earth-shattering or anything. Just...writing. It started somewhat silly but now it's turning into kind of a soft sci-fi drama piece about ethics vs. capitalism.

If someone had gotten within ten feet of this ass-clown he'd shit his pants and run for cover. He wouldn't have the fortitude to try to fight the guy like Congresswoman Omar did.
Ron Johnson on Ilhan Omar getting attacked: "Let's talk about how crazy this is. Had that been a Republican member of Congress and an illegal immigrant spraying something at them, in Minneapolis what would probably happen is they would release that illegal immigrant."

“Libertine ‘expressive conduct’”?

Even for sophist nonsense this is particularly stupid - the very core principle of free speech is that even speech you don’t like or even openly loathe is still protected and cannot be banned simply because of a “heckler’s veto”.
Judge Kacsmaryk rejects challenge by West Texas A&M University's LGBQT club to drag show ban, saying the First Amendment doesn't protect "self-expression in all forms, and certainly not the libertine 'expressive conduct' absolutism envisioned" by the group. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

Except the simulations don't account for the time it takes to prepare food, or that people living on essentially sustenance wages don't have the energy or time or infrastructure to actually cook healthy meals.
They just assume the only cost is the dollar amount on the package of chicken.
BARTIROMO: You're getting heat on social media for saying you can eat healthy for $3. Some people say, 'How am I supposed to get a piece of chicken for under $3?'

ROLLINS: When you eat healthy, it actually is less expensive than a fast food meal. We've got hundreds of simulations that show that.

If I was Jerome Powell's attorney, I'd tell Pirro to blow it out her ass and I'll see her in court.
Sen. Kevin Cramer: "Maybe the point should be if you're the attorney for Jay Powell and you want to avoid an indictment, how about you go to Jeanine Pirro and say, 'I'll make a deal. I'll step down today if you drop the investigation today.' To me, that would be a win win for everybody."

Because stores can just "double" (whatever that means) the size of whole food availability without worrying about things like transportation, storage or maintenance costs to keep it. Or how the problem is that fresh food is often more expensive and doesn't last as long.
RFK Jr: "One of the things we're doing is Brooke Rollins is requiring that any facility, and store that accepts food stamps will have to double the amount of whole food that is now available to recipients. So that will change the marketplace around the country."
