I'm actively mad at how on the nose "Mamdani gets sworn in on a book that has his real beliefs and contains real meaning for him, but it isn't the cultural default, so people are pissed off about it" is as a representation of his entire candidacy so far.
Strange takes on Mayor Zamdani swearing his oath on the Qu’ran. It has nothing to do with church & state. The point of the oath is for the person swearing in to do so upon some text that is sacred TO THEM. Some Presidents swore in w/o any book. John Quincy Adams was sworn on a law book. His choice.

Considering I took three (3) naps today I really should not be tired. Extremely obnoxious how the entire universe keeps being like "hey what if your exhaustion is real and not just a way to avoid things."
