Amy, queer cis Jew, she/her. Kidlit, reality TV, lady superheroes, lit theory, collage. All the #BlackWidow feelings. Watched 1400+ Law & Order episodes in a year. I'm sorry for who I am during Big Brother season. Asthma, TMJ, and #ActuallyOCD. So tired.
I can't think of any Sesame Street Christmas specials that are dedicated to a specific character. Which doesn't mean they don't exist, but nothing is springing to mind. I'm wondering if it might be "A Celebration of Me, Grover," which is not holiday-related but otherwise fits the bill?

There's always some bullshit excuse for people not committing crimes.

If you care to jump through a series of tangentially-connected hoops with me, here's Jill Hennessy (Claire Kincaid on Law & Order seasons 4-6) singing "Fairytale of New York" at Housing Works in 2009. www.youtube.com/watch?v=nFbq...

I think it's kind of unfair that there's never been a stabbing when I went to Housing Works for an event. I did do some solid networking there, and I once won a Sesame Street DVD in trivia. But no attempted murders of any kind.

Found a fraction of a second of screentime where a Housing Works logo is slightly visible.
a man in a police uniform and tie is making a funny face and saying vindication !!! .
Alt: Andre Braugher as Capt Raymond Holt on BROOKLYN 99, wearing his police uniform and pumping his arm while saying "VINDICATION!!!!"

The big marketing poster (which also says that Claire Morgan is a "#1 New York Examiner Bestselling Author," which is noteworthy to me mostly because they usually cite the Ledger) says she's the Best-Selling Author of Penumbral Ruin, so I assume that's her next-most-recent book?

The cover of Hallow Oaths says "the saga continues" but WHAT saga? There's no pattern to the novels' titles. The placement of the author's name is in varying sizes and fonts, at different places on the covers. The text isn't even consistently serif or sans serif. WHO WILL ANSWER FOR THIS.

I understand the world is on fire and there are political things to be concerned about but why would they promote several of an author's books, clearly intended to be part of a series, at one event, with *no consistent cover design through-lines*

Kind of but they were tingling and it was painful? I assume witchcraft is the best explanation.

I woke up with them weirdly twisted and clasped together, which I'm not even sure how I managed but it took like 5-10 minutes before I could use them normally. idefk.

Truth is no excuse for fiction.

Equally importantly, I'm almost positive they filmed the teaser at @housingworksnyc.bsky.social Bookstore, but then sent the stabbing victim to NY Presbyterian (almost an hour drive away), which is such a weird choice when the franchise has fake hospitals with no location they can send people to.

I definitely was clocking moments when they were making the characters LESS over-the-top than the real world analogues because accuracy would not be believable.
