I work consistently and doggedly, but I could never have done so without my spouse, who has been our main breadwinner for 90% of our marriage. On my own, I could have my career OR my family OR my home, but certainly not all three. A working partner is my invisible privilege.

Anyone who got a huge dump of snow yesterday, please don’t forget to check your furnace and water heater exhaust pipes! Ours got buried twice yesterday and carbon monoxide poisoning is no joke.

I had fun giving this tableau an faux Victorian feeling. Their outfits were already perfect, so these two are posing right out-of-the-box.

Sarah's bedroom in the movie Labyrinth is one of the best examples of set design as environmental storytelling and foreshadowing/backstory in the history of cinema. Everyone knows it is filled with things that you see later in the film, but there's even more that you don't notice at a glance.
