It's time for the awful yearly assessments at work, where you have to talk about your "progress" and your "goals". I have one goal in my working life, and it's to not have to work a job to pay the bills, and to be able to work on my own projects, forever. And can I say that? No.

This whole saga has been both infuriating and hilarious because it was simply never worth it: WestJet started re-configuring planes to add another row, but this is the thing: it's only one more row. Anyone without a middle manager brain slug puppeteer them can do the math.

Project cleanup continues. Already I've closed three google accounts and one facebook account and shortly I'm killing dropbox. Moving everything to the Switzerland-based non-profit Proton (they do email and cloud storage and lots more). And it even saves me money.

Starting the process of divesting myself of google and dropbox. And it was such a delight to kill a google account I've had for 20 years (after making sure it wasn't being used as a login to anything). Just gone. Wonderful.

Must be 20 years ago now when I entered a Stockholm pub, noticed empty seats beside two women and asked if I could sit there. "No" said one fiercely. I backed away. I told my friend at the bar who looked and said "Hey, that's Robyn!" I had not recognised her at all, I just wanted the damn seats.

I have kept my twitter account (although I never use it these days) in the belief that maybe just having it costs Musk money, and by keeping it alive it prevents some asshole from taking my name and pretending to be me. Is this the correct way to think, or should I just close the fucking thing?

On a dark and stormy night, I took refuge in an ancient place of burial (my garbage room) and found this blade. Discarded, forgotten, clearly enchanted. From the rune on its scabbard (the letter Å) I named it Åska (thunder). Come little blade, for adventures great and terrible now await us.

I'm convinced that Trump does not understand the concept of lies or truth. He believes that, like him, all people just say whatever they want when it's to their benefit. He cannot begin to grasp the concept of truth or expert opinion or evidence or a moral compass. It's all alien to him.

Apple have recognised that their airpods are awful, ugly, easily-lost knobs of pointless plastic and have made them larger and connected them with some kind of band, adding soft "cushions" around the ears. Genius! The Apple designers have done it again! And all for only 600 of my dollars!
