I wonder sometimes if they write the headline / subtext before looking at the data. How can they say, "after months of stability" if they are looking at this graph? C'mon NYT.

Why is it always about flags and symbols rather than people? Same junk going on here as in the States.

Collins: When the president says there's virtually no inflation and that grocery prices are going down, do you agree with him on that?

Greene: No. I go to the grocery store myself. Grocery prices remain high. Energy prices are high.

The top three things Jesus was on about were feeding the hungry, healing the sick, and welcoming the stranger. Rich men have convinced so-called Christians to starve the hungry, gut health care, and deport the stranger to enrich themselves. It’s astoundingly anti-Christ.

Q: What's your reaction to yesterday's purge of senior ICE officials? When is it time for Congress to do some oversight?

MIKE JOHNSON: I don't know any of the details of that yet. I just heard about that, literally I was walking in.

Here's the name of the article by the authors (which originally showed on the NYT front page as well). 30 minutes later it was changed to "A New Era of Strongman Rulers Has Begun" on the digital front page. Big difference in framing. Don't count on big media to help us.

Just checking: the republicans that attacked and sent marshals to arrest Texas dems for not showing up to work (in an effort to protect voting rights, btw) are the same republicans that are not showing up to work, yeah?

This was announced in Sept. Almost like they knew what was coming... (hey, if we don't test for Covid and record deaths, then it never happened...)
Gee, I can’t imagine why…

The people in Arizona’s 7th congressional district have been without representation in Congress for over 7 months.

Mike Johnson continues to deny them representation because their duly elected representative has pledged to sign the petition to release the Epstein files.

This will backfire, but it is still maddening and discouraging.
Very sad to see what’s happening at Indiana. The school has decided it wanted to muzzle its student newspaper to only print fluffy campus life stories in special sections. When they pushed back, the school cut all print funding and fired their staff director
