it's hard to believe what passes for a Senator these days...

So tired of "winning". Utter incompetence and corruption.
November 24, 2025 at 12:34 PM
This is a horrible development. And has the corruption scandal been verified? Could it be Russian propaganda?

I do find the MTG transformation fascinating, in a kind of twisted way. Hoping it provides an example for other Reps to follow.

The very real price is being paid since January (of course, before as well, but has accelerated). The anger is referring to all of the decisions that have been made by the Republicans (ICE, BBB, all the appointments, etc.) Health care is another chip that is now gone.
November 13, 2025 at 7:26 AM
Not only Trump, but also all the Republicans who supported all of the garbage they've passed. And Johnson not even swearing in a duly elected congressperson. Up there with McConnell's SCOTUS ploys. I can see both sides of the decision. Our anger must stay focused on the root cause.

Thank you for providing some of the details and potential motivation for the vote. Can't say I agree with the choice, but I'm not receiving SNAP, though health care is certainly heading into a very dicey period no matter who you are... well maybe not Senators, Representatives and WH Staff.

That also means they didn't have to worry too much about the implications of their vote either way. Seems to me that leadership and/or a decent chunk of other Dem Senators wanted this (with some valid reasons) and these 8 were chosen to take the heat from their more vocal constituents.
November 11, 2025 at 12:55 PM
The swirling has only just begun. On the surface, it sure looks like the Dems have failed to grasp strategy. Good time to remember that the average age of the founders was somewhere in their 40s... just sayin'.

Fortunately for those of us flying next week, this is not true. Certainly not out of the realm of possibility which is why it is spreading like wildfire.

Should have stuck to football.

If there's no Congress, there's no votes to release the Epstein files. Same old, same old. I don't know about that, etc.
November 8, 2025 at 10:02 AM
Insuring and feeding people = "political terrorism". The new lows just keep coming. Glad to see the dems offering a reasonable solution. Still waiting for that swearing in ceremony...
November 8, 2025 at 6:58 AM
And they shouldn't forget to swear in the new Congressperson (and maybe show up for work too)
November 7, 2025 at 7:06 PM
Get rid of Citizens United and gerrymandering and democracy has a chance for rebirth.
November 7, 2025 at 12:37 PM
All I can say from the front lines of the small business economy is that we're facing our worst forecast for 2026 in the history of our company. Swear in our duly elected Congressperson. Release the files. Fund SNAP. Let's get on with righting this ship.

I think Putin still has the lead, but Hegseth is certainly a viable contender.
