Decided to shoot 3-gun (rifle, shotgun, pistol) after a seven-year hiatus. After function testing the shotgun, I had some fun with the dueling tree.

Back on my bullshit again.

Why do people do this? Would you hand a toddler a loaded gun?
This is the same tech that all the software engineering influencers on X are telling you to use to open PRs to your codebase without reviewing the diffs.

Canceling the @washingtonpost.com subscription. They're dropping or curtailing features I liked and was willing to pay for. What's the point of paying for something that is an inferior product?

I have a history degree specializing in the Mexican Revolution. I also have a 30-plus-year career ranging from satellite image processing, forestry, transportation and facilities planning, software development, venture capital, cloud infrastructure, and currently learning seismology.
The U.S. has successfully convinced its people that “the humanities are frivolous and STEM is Important and Real” is basically a law of nature: this is absolute nonsense that we should stop putting up with.
